Watched the entire 8+ hours of footage. So glad you guys went up and found that dragon. You went without success many months ago. This did not disappoint! Cannot wait to get the quest or the loot from tht dragon one fine day.

You are right, those sound effects are terrifying! What a good job they did on the sounds. This brings me straight back to my halfling druid outside of Rivervale back in 2002. The sounds mesmerized me. To this day I still talk about it. If they can nail the soundtrack of the game it might help offset the cartoony wow type graphics, at least for me. Sound is very important to me. I have tried many different types of desktop speakers (Kanto YUP4s, iLoud Micro Mini's, NHT Super Micro Zero's, many others all with a subwoofer). Finally landed on some B&W M1's in black. When I auditioned them at Best Buy I thought they were $300 a pair. After deciding I had to have them, found out it was EACH. Thanks for the update Nathan!

Yeah it is very immersive, they're doing a stellar job with audio, the graphics will come around too to be of the same quality with time imo, it's improved a TON since they put it in action (this new artstyle) a few months ago

I’ll keep tuned in for more live play, but now many years for this? The dragon sound was well done

Loved the sound of the dragon. Gave me some strong Jurassic Park vibes.

The dragon SFX sound a lot like Jurassic Park.

2023(and beyond) and we still have dragons that just stand there doing nothing, waiting around to be attacked. Do they have any plans to improve on that? If so, does anyone know what's been said?

The dragon is just there for the purpose we used it : to go look at for novelty reasons : The current Pantheon experience is level 1-25, now Pantheon has said there will be raids and NOT JUST at max level so this dragon COULD be a level 20-25 raid experience one day but they really aren't focused on that from what I can tell

The plate armor sound when walking is a nice touch. I’m an outsider rooting for this title.

You have seen him before Nathan! I had Bazgrim send you the snapshot of him circled on your screen during your guys stream earlier in the year when you were looking for him lol. You all completely looked right at him and away from the ramp below. He also has a new name updated from Scales after a certain group killed him.

I know it is alpha, but wish the dragon would kind of match the sounds a little bit better, it looks a bit too static for the growls and howls it makes, but I am sure that is something they will flesh out. I am tryin to be positive here and look forward :)

Graphics aren’t everything , my best moments in mmos were ultima online and EQ . The sound quality and ambience in this is super immersive

Im not one to criticize the textures as i dont think the game looks that bad but VR has been telling us that they have been working on the coding for pets and pet classes for 5+ years. Refactor or not that should have been done long ago. Either they were lying or are totally incompetent. A rework to graphics or not, they should have this entire game greyboxed and just waiting for a new coat of paint. What it seems they have been doing is just rebuilding and reworking the same zone over and over. What is obvious, and no amount of excuses or copium can hide, is that they have blatantly lied about the progress and work has been completed on this game. Ive been closely following the this game from jumpstreet and the more we learn about its state of development the more it seems like its all been smoke amd mirrors to keep the pledges coming in while they work on a few set pieces to lure in more potential backers. What a scam

Actually what they said about pet classes was they were working them in the game, but needed a solid net code and a ton of programming time to pull it off : Pet classes are complicated : The indie team Embers Adrift has also been trying to pull them off and hasn't been able to yet. Claiming they are lying just because we haven't seen the results of their work is a bit ridiculous, I understand it's been a long time, but if you actually think they are getting rich off of this project, you're just not paying attention or doing math. Nothing wrong with being upset, but it's not a smoke and mirrors, it's development from a small team and many of them inexperienced and taking a ton of bumps and bruises along the way.

Way to misrepresent what I said btw. I said either lying or incompetent. You pick cause both are equally as bad. And scam doesn't necessarily mean someone is getting rich. But Joppa sure as hell is making a salary by delivering absolutely nothing but one zone and reworked animation after reworked animation. You can continue to play press secretary and public relations liaison for VR but to just gloss over all the mismanagement would be doing a disservice to those who might not have followed the project as closely as you or I have and who might be naive to VR's track record. You might get a game in the end Nathan, but will it be the one they told you they were making from the beginning? I guess we'll find out in 7-10 years at this rate.

This game looks visibly worse than it did years ago when they had Cohh streaming it, how...?

That dragon is the best looking thing in the game.. just shows how crappy the rest of the graphics are.. I really wish I could get over this, but it's yet to happen. Maybe once I get to log in on the 16th.

I am in the same boat. I was not pleased with the fortnite style graphics, but when I watched the live stream and also this video as well the character models actually looks worse and the distant terrain just looks so bland and 2D. I hope they include movement with the foliage because the trees just looked like statues from what I saw.

So we get to see a motionless dragon and hear dinosaur sounds from Jurassic park but we are yet to see the Scar and the Summoner. This sucked! It was typical tactics used by VR. Smoke and mirrors again and the same Pantheon zombies drooling over it.

This is the biden-economics of video game footage. I with my two eyes can see everything, but my ears are filled with how great it is. How beautiful it is. Will keep telling this lie till we all believe. I see two character models and a matte painting of a background. Oh look at the shadow of a great dragon…. It did not move till you were close to it. My video card 1080 video card renders at greater distance. I pray you all can produce something better, something that your supporters deserve. Thanks for teaching me that games don’t get my money till they are commercially released.

I sure hope it does have all that as that will have to be what makes people overcome the graphics. Like I said previously I am trying to keep an open mind but it is hard to not be overly critical.
