Wow, glad to see this. I also appreciate the regular schedule so people can plan which has been an issue with the last couple of tests. A much better solution than 247, that will likely bring in new pledges.

Best news in years! BETA and ALPHA pledgers getting TONS of playtime!

Finally some good news! This might seem trivial to some, but the one major area I really hope they improve on is the spell effects. The way they are now seems wispy and not impactful. I hope at some point they upgrade the spell effects to have that old EQ feeling of grandiose. When you had a high level buff casted on you felt it - the spell effects were big and colorful, and carried the weight of the spell being casted. Regardless, very excited that the wheels have finally hit the ground!

Yeah I miss the old Intro, KZread moved away from intros, as in they hurt your watch time etc, but I miss it too, the song is from KZread's audio library, don't remember what it's called, but I've used it a lot in Pantheon Videos over the years

I WILL be playing this game when it goes to Beta. Likely not before... and I've been doing my best to forget about it for years. But if we ever get there.... count me in! There's some of us nerds left that are so let down by what WoW brought us. Destroying the best genre and the best devs in gaming.

for sure! personally, I've been following pantheon for a long time, I'm just not a huge fan of paying over 100$ bucks just to try out the game, I'm not in a position to do that even if I wanted to, so I'm glad they worked on that! some of us live in 3rd world countries with low income haha!@@TheNathanNAPALM

I enjoyed the alpha tests excited to get in again! Glad we get more time as well, but I am sad I won't get to play it as much as I'd like 😕 (self promo talk here) I'd love to be able stream it myself and days I stream I just can't drop for pantheon off stream 😢 I'd love to shift into pantheon on alphas two weeks so I can keep my schedule lol

Yes, they will, due to sometimes it needs a new client, they usually send out the emails about a week before test time

Not per say, now if you buy any pledge package you can play : there are 3 tiers: Lowest cost = Supporter gets 1 weeks every 6 weeks, Champion = 2 weeks every 6 weeks, VIP = play all the time any time

Reminds me of EQ, not sure what class you were playing, but we usually gorup up with at least one person ASAP and then it's smooth as butter. The difficulty for level 1 still needs refining, and I can't speak for any class, but if you use your abilities you start with and just make sure you mem them before you go smacking stuff, you should be fine, I've made 100s of level 1s and solo'ed my way to level 3-5 before grouping many of those times with a Wizard, Cleric, Direlord and Paladin and only died a couple of times and usually just because I forgot to rest

I think they are more concerned with getting the zones out seems like, but don't fret, that's the most important thing right now to get this puppy out : weather will continue to get updated throughout all of testing and expect it to be amazing by the time it launches, I have no doubt

Yes, I'm sure the money was just pouring in after 10 years of delivering nothing. They didn't have money to hire that team because they didn't have money... I don't know why people go out of their way to defend a company that seems to go out of their way to make bad decisions.

I would argue that saying 10 years of delivering "nothing" is a lie : the past 2 years have been rough, prior to that we were very satisfied with progress for the size of their team, and since the artstyle change, we've been pleased with the progress they have been making. The reason I would go out of my way to defend them is because there is an army of robots repeating things some content creator out there started saying without understanding that what they are spouting and repeating isn't true.

I am not a fan of this gatekeeping scheme. Pre-Alpha, Alpha, Beta. If they are at a point that allows Beta players in they should have the same time/access as all higher tiers. No FOMO here, I will just wait to see how the game pans out at release.

I’m not sure you are grasping that the money made from the pledge packages are their source of income to pay their team and put back enough to hire more, which we’ve seen them do. Your plan makes no economical sense to reach goals needed to fund a project as ridiculously expensive as MMO development and server management

@@TheNathanNAPALM It is FOMO. If you pledge higher, we will grant you more time during the testing season. If you do not, then we will limit your interaction, even though the severs are already up and running. If the servers are up and fully operational, AND the product has made it to the Beta Player stage for access, then they should remain open for all pledges up to that point. They have clearly surpassed the Pre-Alpha and Alpha Stages moving into Beta. Stop trying to milk more money out of what you hope becomes your permanent player base. If the project success is based only on bringing in new pledges, then this project is doomed. Not to mention, if that is the reality, then you would need to offer a lot more than 1 week every 6 weeks as content for myself and many others to open up our wallets. Step away from the forest so you can see the trees my dude, I feel your passion for the game is not allowing you to see why this may not be such a "great deal" for some people.

They should do what starcitizen does and have a stable version all backers can play and a vip version with the newest NDA content, that way everyone that purchases the game can play simply, and they can auto send keys out with out having to manually activate every account accept for VIPs starcitizens system feels way more fair imo

All this gate keeping depending on your pledge just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I realize they have to make each pledge amount paid have a different advantage. But Beta pledgers only get to play for a week? Why lol? Play time via dollar spent is so weird. It's like we're back to renting games again. I don't see how that even helps the devs. Wouldn't you just want a steady average amount of players bashing on the game throughout an entire phase? Groups may be plenty for about a week, and then it falls off a cliff for the following week? I honestly don't see the point other than they couldn't come up with a better way to compensate players for their pledges. I didn't pledge at all even though I've been following this game for years. It just comes off really strange to me.

Because making an MMO without a publisher means the money has to come straight from the fans. That’s always been the way for this project, and they have been clear about the ups and downs, MMOs are the most expensive genre to develop, money doesn’t fall from the sky

Dont play this MMO. Basically 2 zones and generic kill trash to level with some crafting. After 10 years this is all it is.

What a dogs breakfast. Alphas get to test for x amount of time .. beta gets another xx amount of time .. in the perpetual alpha test. Let this game die already.
