Dude, when the beat came in the first section, I thought Joppa was about to start spitting dark rhymes. Yeah, I think you will find the spirit just as strong as it ever was

pretty sure investors pushed for extraction mode. Joppa did not seem passionate about it- at one point he said he has no interest in battle royale. It's not a crowd funded game anymore, when the crowd funding has dried up and investors are paying the bills.

Well done. Brad should have called himself the Ghost of MMOs Past before appearing.

I still think the logic behind the 247 mode checks out for testing purposes, but this is not the right game and this is not the right community to push that on. They showed character, especially Joppa as it was his baby(I think), to not double down on it and instead swallow their pride and read the room. The room was not happy. Great vid brotha!

many actually returned immediately upon the news that Back to MMO testing, Alpha pledgers can come experience Pantheon next month, Paladin launched, Warrior coming in a few days, new zones, more testing of new areas, tons of public patch notes every week, Pantheon is on a roll : I don't have to "create" hype, I'm playing it and it fuels me. Development is a pain, they're working through the kinks just like anyone does with a small team, missteps, yup, bad decisions, yup, correcting course? Also a yup

The "letting the Alpha testers in" thing is not going to bring much goodwill in the long run... as the Alpha testers realize that its just going to be for 1 day here and there. They are treating Pre-Alpha and Alpha tester pledgers more like "High Priority Testers", and "Low Priority Testers" that ugg... fine... we will throw those annoying peasants a tiny crumb after 10 years of waiting. But yea... All this does is embolden the unhinged whiners, and make them focus on the art style change. It seems like good will on the surface... But I don't think the execution of things will play out as good as they hope because of those 2 things.
