Bodija is like the Ikoyi Of Ibadan. Apart from the big man area, the rest is nothing to write home about. Even the city center is surrounded by brown roofs
Sixty something years after independence and Nigeria cannot carry out project like this by itself what a shame. You will always see a white or a Chinese man leading the project no matter how small it is. As a country that refers to itself as the giant of Africa this says a lot. We have a really long way to go in a very short time, and believe me the world isn't waiting for us or anyone, and it (the world) will do it absolute best to make sure that this doesn't happen. It is now up to the African people to fight back and believe me i am ready to side with the devil to win this fight.
ibadan is actually underwhelming. They have all the advantages of being a great city and it is not living up to it status.
LASG. Is Okoafo, llogbo Eremi still part of Lagos? No roads. Someone said it's been ceded to Benin Republic. Agbarra badagry rd is filled with trash at Agbarra. We need Benin Republic passport to beg them to fix the roads here
Mtchew! For how long are we going to continue to wait for all these to be completed? These are projects introduced by Fashola since 2008, more than 16 years ago. With all these huge money that is being generated in Lagos State, no capital projects to match up. Every year, we keep hearing about Rail-lines. No new health, education, sports and tourism infrastructures. Lagos can not boast of world class Stadium and event centers. Gone are the days when we use to enjoy free quality education in Lagos State. That was in the days of Jakande and the military governors; Mudashiru and Mike Akghigbe gave us world standard class rooms. Buba Marwa tared all our streets with Direct Labour and provide street lights. Despite the fact that Lagos was still enjoying the privilege of being the Capital city. Today, nothing close to that. Today, there are over 1000 streets in Lagos State with beautiful houses but no street roads and street lights at all, the masses are now contributing money to tare their own street, install their solar street lights and also provide security for themselves. If not for the private sectors, the State governments are doing nothing. Tge Oshodi Bus Yetminsl abandned, Lagos Badagry Express Road abandoned; These road is more important than all these things you're advertising here. The road would have completely upgrade Lagos State to another level. Lagos State started the BRT and the rail lines projects before the East, North and some Southern African countries but today most of them have completed theirs years ago, covering the length and breath of their countries at cheaper cost.. Tanzania have even upgraded to electric trains last month but 99% of Lagosians doesn't even know what the blue and red line trains looks like. These are country that are far poorer than Lagos State but are more advanced infrastructurally.
You sir are doing a fantastic job, showcasing developments in Lagos especially with your use of 3D imaging and drones. More grease to your elbows and wish you all the best, pls keep it up and keep evolving.
A very commendable project. But am worried on why Sanwoolu is not making any attempt to complete the magnificent oshodi transport hub that Ambode did....?
Wait a minute Gbolahan, where are the real Ndi developers of Lagos in this video? Are you sure you are representing the real stories and issues? Sick people.
Good
What is the gain of engineering courses in nigerian universities if white people are the ones constructing their roads. Chai God help Africa
❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤ 👍
At least you are keeping the positivity regardless of all the needs Nigeria needs
Ondo state still constructing a road for the past 8 years 🤦♂️🤦♂️
After 25 years since 1999, yet Lagos is still a pile of dust bin and garbage. I wonder what Babajide was doing with all those billions he is sitting on.
Since 25yrs ur region is just getting streetlight for d first time..ipob,esn,sit at home still ravaging ur region..I wonder what ur governors are doing
Envy
Lagos is the most developed city in Africa
na lie
Stop the cap. Johannesburg, Capetown, Egypt's new capital, Casablanca, Abuja, I could go on and on so just calm down abeg, me sef I'm a Lagos boy but know levels please 🤣🤣🤣
@@thatoneguywholovesthena-4529abuja that doesn't have proper transport system?
@@chincherri OGA! Abuja is a better developed city than lagos is nau, what is wrong with you? lagos state has no proper drainage system, terrible road network compared to abuja, touts and agberos everywhere, lagos is filthy, LAWMA literally does nothing, city looks like a mess from the sky with drones. i could go and on, lagos and transport system, you mean danfos and molue abi? oga park abeg.

Transportation easy for selected area Abi Where the road for Ikorodu areas and also for Badagry area abeg you guy should old remind this people
Do you see how beautiful the roads are ? That's ogun standard ! Courtesy of senator Ibikunle Amosun 🎉
Since when did the French start getting assigned contracts to improve Lagos ? French enterprises and state have never had any good intentions for the progress of Africa go look at any French colony in Africa. I think Lagosians really need to look into what ever proposed value they are promising to provide as contractors, I bet u it’s not in the interest of Lagos developmental progress, they are in the business of pillaging.
They should first deal with the flooding, the touts, and the dirtiness in Lagos. No planning at all. As far as i am concerned everything is done blindly in Lagos.
Infact they should also stop paying workers salaries and build new schools till they finish ending flooding and touts...mumu😂
I think he's actually talking about Delta state governor that collect the largest allocation from FG with no infrastructure to show because their people and Oseni focus is on Lagos state. As for me, na my governor be my problem. I am not a Lagosian. I want my state to compete by doing the same.
No u should focus on ur state with no tangible achievements, lagos is not in ur league
🤔 Provide funding & contractors to execute the project? What a contradictions on our business ideology?
Every adult living in Lagos should be paying a road maintenance fee of not less than #100/yr or 1% of every financial transaction in the city. The revenue could be directed towards road maintenance.
Money that they will still steal😂
You right
The money is what agbero and other touts is already collecting It is a form of tax already that has drastically increased the cost of transportation and cost of food They are making extremely huge sums of money already
Thanks Gbolahan for this but why is Gov Sanwo olu abandoning roads for all these projects, imagine the Toyin giwa road leading to the world bank assisted Lagos Adiyan waterworks project in Iju ishaga collapsing into the deep gorge at Hercules bus stop and Lagos state government behaving as if it's an abandoned waterworks
Good One...Mega cities are dirty compare to other cities... Example...London to Edinburgh
Move to London or Edinburgh.
London also build up in decades stop criticism and better ur life Lagos state is the best always on top 👌
@@amgooddif you don't understand english then learn..... Read my comment again boy.... To understand what i meant.
To be sincere Lagos is ugly. I really don't know why our leaders are not fixing our infrastructure. Jeez! Thank you, sir.
Lagos looks like a peasant city to me😂. Not impressive at all
@@RashidHussein-bs1rgyou know damn right that you are tripping. 😂😂😂 Trying hard to get reactions out of people but people will ignore cuz they know that your statement about lagos isn't factual but stems from aversion and jealousy towards the state.

Hello gbolohan Johnson here I'm just curious where they want to construct the marina hub. From the video illustration, it look like it will be constructed at the other side of the train station. Are there enough spaces to erect that kind of structure there?
There’s enough space at the other side of the train station that can be utilized in the future. For the hub, the space by the Marina station will be use.

30yr project
Craters all over lagos roads though. They need a task force to address that with gravel or something.
Pls I want to confirm what is the update on the 4th mainland bridge?
Most of the preliminary works have been done and contractor for the project has been announced. The groundbreaking for the project was said to be by April/May but no information on it yet.
LASG should have let CCEC complete both interchange. Yaba train station is till not completed? Thanks for sharing!
Definitely not complaining but does every new bus terminal in Lagos have to look like Oshodi 😂😂 I guess if it ain’t broke don’t fix it
There’s no any other bus terminal in Lagos that looks like Oshodi terminal. The only terminal likely to look like the Oshodi terminal is the proposed mile 2 hub.
Must you talk if you don't have anything to say. Mile 2 does not have a proper interchange and the government is trying to change the situation, and all you could do is complain.
@@rotimikayode1072I guess English isn’t your first language. I would advise you to reread the first three word in my comment then apologise 😂
@@bababababababa6124so what you're complaining about would be the architectural designs of the proposed interchanges is that correct?
Kudos to the LASG. Their ambition to debunk people's claims that Lagos is unlivable and lacks transportation infrastructure is palpable.

Where is the video, they should let ppl see how is gonna look i hope they giving to Chinese contractor their good that's whats they do they build.
This place used to be a beautiful place, I used to visit this place every weekend back in the early 80s
Can you reveal plans for the phase 2 of this project down to Ogudu express. I know it's in the lagos State masterplan, but I can't find it anywhere,
Ibadan Ilu Oluyonle, Ilu Lagelu
This is lovely guy, I think this is the best drone video I've ever seen. Nice one. Ibadan can even get better to modern 21st century city.
Where the subway? Or light rail?
My hometown ❤
After Lagos state. Ibadan is the next big thing in the south west. It has been giving Lagos subtle rivalry since immemorial
I so much love when you cover ibadan especially thanks so much for this video😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You are welcome!!!!
Where can i join the train to Kajola coming from costain
Thank you so.much for this video, you went through a lot of places I've lived in and being through. Please I would love to see kolabalogun and if possible inside the ilupeju street in kolabalogun and if you can cover the areas from owode to ayetoro junction. This will be greatly appreciated.
Who are the engineers who marked the road? It is so not congruent spacing.
More blessings 😊
