Opebi-Maryland-Ojota Link Bridge Construction Update ||Connecting Communities for Progress In Lagos
In this video i will be taking you guys on a tour to see the construction progress of works done on the Opebi-Odo Iya Alaro-Maryland-Ojota link bridges and approach roads in Lagos Nigeria, which is one of the legacy project of the present administration in Lagos.
Recall, the project was flagged off on the 26th of January 2022 by the governor of Lagos State Mr. Babajide Sanwoolu and the project is expected to be completed this year (2024)
This project is one of the legacy projects embarked on by the present administration of Lagos state and the project will connect three communities In Ikeja which are Opebi, Maryland and Ojota. The project will also serves as alternative routes for vehicles which will help de-congest the existing roads.

Great work Gbolahan. My question really is why is it always Oyibo engineers heading the constructions all over the country? Is it because we don’t have the qualified engineers (which I doubt), or is it that they cannot be relied upon to deliver a quality product? Nigerian engineers sabi carry title ‘Engineer BabaTunde’, ‘Engineer Chinedu’, ‘Engineer I-get-degree’, but to do the actual work, they are not seen. WHY???

Take the trains for example, the Chinese and westerners have more experience and literally invented the thing so ofcourse they'll help, which is why the redline is going smoothly. Wetin Nigerians know about railway network? Shey we get that many modern trains in Nigeria before?😂

So what will happen to those buildings close to the bridge

There is an existing road in between those buildings, that’s where the bridge will connect to.

Every other state Governor should be ashamed of themselves.
Please show us the bad roads in Ikeja and Mile2. Also the lack of working streetlights in Lagos.
