Lagos State Begins Construction Of Two Interchange Hubs (Mile 2 & Marina Interchange Hubs)

After about 10 months since the Lagos Blueline rail first phase started commercial operations, LAMATA and the Agence Francaise de Developpment AFD is set to begin the construction of two interchange hubs at both Marina and Mile 2 which will be linked to the train stations at both locations.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the interchange hubs took place on Tuesday 2nd of July 2024. The event was attended by the commissioner for transportation in Lagos state Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi leading Agence Française de developpement AFD and LAMATA officials. The ceremony marked the official start of construction on the project.
The interchange project aims to improve public transportation in Lagos by integrating different modes of transportation and providing seamless connectivity among rail, water and road transportation.

Every adult living in Lagos should be paying a road maintenance fee of not less than #100/yr or 1% of every financial transaction in the city. The revenue could be directed towards road maintenance.

Sixty something years after independence and Nigeria cannot carry out project like this by itself what a shame. You will always see a white or a Chinese man leading the project no matter how small it is. As a country that refers to itself as the giant of Africa this says a lot. We have a really long way to go in a very short time, and believe me the world isn't waiting for us or anyone, and it (the world) will do it absolute best to make sure that this doesn't happen. It is now up to the African people to fight back and believe me i am ready to side with the devil to win this fight.

French enterprises and state have never had any good intentions for the progress of Africa go look at any French colony in Africa. I think Lagosians really need to look into what ever proposed value they are promising to provide as contractors, I bet u it’s not in the interest of Lagos developmental progress, they are in the business of pillaging.
