    whenever i design some kind of robot character i always enjoy thinking about how the joints would work and if they make at least some sense, so i enjoyed watching this the sounds were really well done, and i like how the design turned out

    Yes, the Alchemy Synth add on, much better sounds than anything GarageBand comes with by default. I also use some from ‘Alpha Waves’, which accompanies Alchemy Synth very nicely.

    I think what most people forget is that Mangle came first before the rest of the Toy animatronics; as in she was a stand in and replacement for (W.) Foxy due to his design being too scary for kids and for the possible bad rep around Foxy because of Mike’s usage of a mask depicting Foxy during the Bite of 83. Therefore Mangle is sorta in between the Withered and Toy Era’s as she was the first of the Toy’s, but utilizing the Withered animatronic structure because she was Foxy’s replacement being set now in Kids Cove, with the name Funtime Foxy. Eventually as we know, Fazbear Entertainment took down the rest of the Withereds and then utilizing designs based on the toy merchandise figures of Freddy and the gang, made the rest of the Toy’s hence why she has a different Endoskeleton compared to the other 3. This video is a perfect concept for a Mangle if Foxy was never decommissioned, and if she was included with the rest of the Toys as part of the redesign

    I’m actually obsessed/in love with this. Mangle dragging themselves around is so much more unsettling than defying gravity and moving quickly. While the others feel robotic or zombie like, as another comment stated, Mangle feels like there’s a little bit more going on up there. It’s still stilted and not like us, but there’s something and that’s terrifying. The way they move feels like an animal in pain, broken and hurt but still dragging on because the instinctual fear of death is stronger than the want to lay there and scream. It feels like I’m watching an animal with rabies, real rabies and not the movie one. The one where you crawl around delirious and confused and dazed and hurting so bad, so very bad, and all the lights and the sounds hurt and you’re driven to attack the things that hurt so bad. They scrabble at the vent like a desperate fox might scrabble at a door, trying their best to just get to the thing that hurts and make it stop. They drag across the floor like an emaciated and dehydrated raccoon, their brain fragmented and destroyed by design and by grubby toddler hands. It feels like there’s this vague understanding behind the plastic eyes that this isn’t how they should look. This isn’t how they should sound. Everything shouldn’t hurt so much. But that’s all they can understand. They cannot understand how to fix themselves, only grabbing at parts and wiring them onto themselves in some sort of confused and desperate self-repair. They cannot understand how to make the pain go away, only throwing themselves at the source to make it stop. They cannot understand *what* it is that is wrong, only that something is wrong. Not that they have too many limbs or heads, not that they have been given up on by the staff for repair, not that they look like a nightmare. Only that this isn’t how it should be. Idk man. Something about this animation gave me a lot of emotions. I felt uncomfortable in the best way possible. I felt fearful. I felt pity and sorrow. Absolutely wonderful work dude.

    I've been searching for various sounds I could record for a spring-lock failure audio. I want to try and recreate it from the movie. So far, I have a clicky knob from a toaster, a metal cat litter scooper, tiny springs from a plastic BB gun magazine, and some recordings of a creaky metal folding chair. I also have a coffee table that the top can extend upwards. It has big springs on the metal bars and sometimes they make a loud TWANG, so I want to record those at some point.

  • @TheNickofTime
    @TheNickofTime5 күн бұрын

    Maybe look into garage door springs, or if you have an attic that folds down from the ceiling, that could work too. Just be careful not to actually mess with those kinds of huge springs directly, they can be lethal if they snap.

  • @FranciumBoron
    @FranciumBoron5 күн бұрын

    @@TheNickofTime I don't want to mess with my father's stuff. Ha, ha. We don't have an attic, either. But I will be sure to be careful around springs.

    Question, how'd you rig the eyes? I've been trying to rig something similar and then saw this, also the left arm note is hilarious🤣

  • @TheNickofTime
    @TheNickofTime5 күн бұрын

    There's an invisible bone which you rotate to aim the eyes. The vertical motion is copied by the joint to move the whole eye assembly up and down, and the little gear at the bottom attaching it to the servo copies it inversely, so it moves in the right direction. Attached to the eye assembly, parented to the up-down joint, is another bone which copies the left/right position of the control bone. That uses IK constraints (like you'd use on arms and legs) for the little arms coming out of it, ending in the eyeballs themselves, which move as necessary with those arms dragging them back and forth.
