Customized Dalek Figures Collection (Doctor Who)

Previously on my channel I've posted videos of my scratchbuilt Dalek miniatures I like to build from craft store materials. But alongside making my own, I also enjoy modifying the toy Daleks that come from from Doctor Who's line of merchandise. The ones in this video are not technically all of the customs I've ever made, but the ones I left out were too uninteresting to be worth including: The ones with only the most minor of paint details or component swaps.
I generally try not to spend crazy amounts of money on any single Dalek, so my go-to practice is to buy them secondhand or damaged from Ebay and then fix it up as needed. If there's a variant I would like to have, but it's rare or expensive, I just buy one that's cheaper and repaint it into the one I wanted. More economically responsible, and also more fun! It gives the toy Daleks in my collection a personal touch that they would lack if I'd simply bought them.
Doing it this way also helps me feel slightly less silly for having so many of them, since now I can call it an arts/crafts hobby instead of a highly specific shopping addiction.

2:11 "This one is meant to be a nondescript Supreme" Well, I'm happy to inform you that that's an existing design in official merchanise (the Dalek Battlepack), as well as very similar to Dalek X from the novel _Prisoner of the Daleks,_ who is black with gold slats and globes.

I’m sure I remember reading somewhere that the Inquisitor General from Prisoner of the Daleks was given that color scheme specifically to assign meaning to that toy release, which didn’t match anything which has ever been onscreen. The black with gold trim color scheme is kind of interesting. It dates back at least to the ‘90s, but always with non-canon material, like exhibitions and novels and even the Curse of Fatal Death. But it’s never been in any ‘proper’ Doctor Who. It’s come close a couple times, like the Supreme from Planet of the Daleks or the leader of the Emperor’s Guard in Parting of the Ways. But the black and gold is distributed differently on those, so I can’t really say this particular favorite variant of mine has been in the show.

@@TheNickofTime With _The Star Beast_ having come out now, maybe it will open the door to adaptations/follow-ups of non-television stories like _Prisoner of the Daleks._ I'd love to see an episode where Dalek X returned.

I can’t find the bottle now to look at the label, but I remember it was acrylic, and I think it’s probably from the brand FolkArt because I have some other similarly metallic colors that come from them.
