When I flew free flight rubber, I almost wanted the model to go OOS just because it belonged up there. A great feeling knowing I built it and trimmed it.

Looks like Vance Gilbert strikes again! If this is 1000 max, then I would've thought a huge field and a golf buggy or Tom's Amazing Recovery Bicycle would be sufficient, but you never know.. Til you DO know. The transparent inter-strut vertical stabs are brilliant. The last 300 turn power glide was astonishing, I thought the thing had landed but no, Sir and she just went right on flyin', as I believe you folks say over The Pond. Brilliance like this usually only comes from syndicated development, which is something of a New York thang, I mean I myself am lucky enough to have been taught a certain skill which itself is the product of just such a collaborative endeavour, and, in UK there is a resistance to this. I don't care, more relative expertise 4me, I am tired of listening to British experts, I just say "go and listen to AND LOOK AT any major US orchestra, enjoy your career/life.. Brilliant. Aeromodeling by syndicated development at its best. Can't wait to see this ratchet up the turns! 🌟👍

Tom, can you tell us about how you get such great roll stability with no dihedral in this model? Beautiful work, as always.

Well first, it was built by Vance Gilbert, so perhaps he’ll respond. But as it did with the smaller version, the clear plastic “curtain” between each pair of struts are a key factor. Vance can tell u more I’m sure.
