Ғылым және технология
This beautifully detailed 34" rubber-powered free-flight model of the 1917 French Salmson 2 2.A reconnaissance biplane flies a couple of trim flights over the tall grass meadow in Wawayanda, NY. The model was built by Fred Stagg, based on a 30" plan by FSI, found on AeroFred.com. Filmed by Fred Stagg & Tom Hallman, using a Canon PowerShot SX20 & an iPhone 14Pro. Music via ArtList.io.

I was so pleased to be there to record the second flight. Fred works hard at trimming his beautiful models, so to capture the payoff after so much work was truly an honor. U rock, Fred!
What an amazing static model this would have been. To see it actually fly is just beyond belief. Way to go!
Tom, one of many things I've always appreciated is your generosity, in this case putting in such a great effort to create a stunningly beautiful video featuring a fellow modeler and his breathtaking plane. It benefits us all - thank you👏❤️.
Beautiful model, perfectly balanced and trimmed, great flier too.
That's an obscure aeroplane. Incredible detail and a great flyer. All that's missing is a leather helmeted pilot with a trailing silk scarf. Creds to Fred.

Fred should wear them. I'll tell him tomorrow at the field.
The great Mr Fred Stagg strikes again! Thing is, once a bird like this is airborne, u don't see the big prop as it more or less disappears, adding a magical dimension to the realism.. Dial in the sky etc and that's when all the skill and patience pays off.. A truly enchanting experience to see this lovely ww1 warbird over Wayawanda! Nice one Fred and Tom! 🌟🌟👍
Super un AVION BIPLAN FRANÇAIS!!!🇫🇷😃🤗 What a beauty also...(after the one from yesterday the 1947 Burnelli!😉) Really a Great Built and a Free-flight Master Again!!!🤓😊 Thx for Sharing!!!😉
Remarkable detail on the model by Mr. Stagg. And he launched it!! Wow. Someone give me the courage and the tall grass...
Excellent model craftsmanship, and flying characteristics! The paint finish in the details are exquisite! Just a beautiful experience!!!

What a wonderful sight to behold, the stunning craftsmanship of the aircraft, and the exquisite flight of the model...and the great close ups of the plane in flight !! Thanks for sharing, so motivating, my albatros D3 is almost complete, my first serious build in stick and tissue. Can't wait to fly'er
A thing of beauty, lovely modelling 👍♥️🇬🇧🌈🙏
wonderful!
On second viewing I'm also minded to point up, as if it were necessary, how nice and shallow that scallop after the power burst was, and how little juice there was left on landing; v close to perfection in a scale warbird like this. Awesome flying performance gentlemen! Impressive indeed. 🌟👍
Magnifique 👌👍👍👍👍👍
Magnificent!
Fantastic! My grandfather flew in one 1918, 99th aero

Damn you adrenaline junkies! Please use a winding tube, even just for the videos? My heart can't take it.
I would be terrified to fly something that nice. But then again....thats why we build them! Those FSI plans are real works of art.🥸
