Three Flyers And A Falcon Attacks - The Forgotten Flights

These are the forgotten flights of three models from the 1930-40s, after a memorable flight earlier that day, where a curious falcon came close to attacking my Earl Stahl Hurricane in July of 2021. I'd been so distracted by this amazing encounter with the falcon, that I hadn't recalled that there were other, beautiful flights from the day. The film shows these moments, via my photo archives. Filmed with a Canon SX20, iPhone 11Pro, iPhone 6s, & a Mini DVR 808 #32S Micro Camera. Music: "Calling Angels" by Jennifer DeFrayne.

I wouldn't be surprised if the falcon footage was of interest to naturalists, I mean you don't often see a falcon, with full feathery flaps deployed and talons extended ready to strike like that, at such altitude. Magical! Three great flights - scrolling the comments I can see what a hit the Spartan Bomber is with subscribers, the word 'elegant' comes up and is fully justified. I'd like to say that onboard cameras are a hoot, because they are, but you might get followed round the sky by owls.. 🦉🦉🦉! Lovely video as ever, thank you Tom! 🌟👍

Just lovely Tom. I subscribe to quite a few channels and with most of them I find I look at the announcement for each posting and decide whether I want to watch it or not. A lucky situation, with the cam onboard, facing rearward. Unthinkable. I couldn't wait to get home to see what I had.

If only. I wish I could recreate it.
My planes have been followed by birds, too, seagulls and vultures. They are looking for the thermal. I worry more when dogs chase my planes.

The only thing that would have made this video even better would have been if the falcon showed up again.
A falcon keeps attacking my planes as well…
Its funny to think what Mr Stahl would think if someone told him that his plane would one day be carrying a camera on its back, and be flying with a hawk!? Its also amazing to think that these guys were designing models back in the 30s, 40s and 50s, that are still winning contests today!🥸
