    Can u plzz tell me WHY my mm80 won't go when weight is put on it. I've cleaned the carb several times still won't go.

  • @DIYWilly
    @DIYWilly4 күн бұрын

    Hello maxmason, It’s hard for me to diagnose your problems just from what you described. Just because you cleaned the carb doesn’t mean it’s right. Is the float adjusted correctly? Are the gaskets still good or could they be damaged. Could be fuel delivery. Are the valves adjusted correctly. How old is the engine? Might need a rebuild. That’s all I can offer without seeing and hearing it. Good luck man! Thanks for watching!!!

    When i take my cylinder head off its been 3 years should i get a new piston or just clean her up and can i sand lightly to get the black off cuz i put my olight in the spark plug hole and i can see its not silver no more she black 🕳lol

  • @DIYWilly
    @DIYWilly4 күн бұрын

    Definitely don’t sand it if your not removing the piston. You can take small wire brush or tooth brush and clean the top with carb cleaner. You will also need to change the oil afterwards because of the carb cleaner getting inside the block. Are you going to change head gasket also? Good time for all new gaskets.

    Whats the spring gasket washer for? And is it necessary?

  • @DIYWilly
    @DIYWilly3 күн бұрын

    Hello, If you’re referring to the white washer below the spring I would say it’s there to keep the spring from coming contact with the slide. Is it necessary probably not but is a nice added to a great carb. Maybe someone else will provide a better answer. Thanks for watching!!

  • @KB_Joys
    @KB_Joys3 күн бұрын

    @@DIYWilly nibbi have gotten back to me about this, they said what you said about protecting the inside of the throttle body from the spring, but they also said it was to help keep the cable from slipping. Apparently there were issues with the cable not making great contact. I was thinking maybe there should be an adjustment at the top of the carburetor, like all the others, lol Its a good carburetor for sure, but since i lost the plastic white washer, im using a black rubber washer that i found and it fits perfectly in there. Thanks for reaching out, i appreciate it 😊

    I have the same code on my 2010 Nissan versa. I also have a hole in my exhaust near the upstream(air/fuel ratio) 02 sensor and have been getting a code for the o2 sensor as well. Could the O2 sensor issue be causing the misfire?

  • @DIYWilly
    @DIYWilly6 күн бұрын

    No wouldn’t think so. You should get the hole in the exhaust plug welded. That may correct the O2 sensor code. Try the simple troubleshooting for the misfire. Move the plug and coil to different cylinders and watch the code. My guess is you have a tired coil. Thanks for watching!!

    Would it be safe or even possible to charge the ryobi battery, if you had 2 coils? Think it would need a rectifier to convert the current.

  • @DIYWilly
    @DIYWilly8 күн бұрын

    Hello Dave, It would be possible to charge with coils and rectifier but I don’t think it would be safe. Lithium batteries are very particular on how they’re charged. The charge from the coils is small and would take a long time. If you want to use charging coils than I would suggest a different battery. Thanks for watching!!
