Royal purple is good but it's dark so when u empty it u can't really tell what type of smoothy it is I always bring l left over oil to the mechanic shop so they can recycle it 🫡

Hope you're feeling better now after surgery Willy🙏, glass beads really makes a mess. I've been wiring in a 220v receptacle in garage to run a near future new 180A mig welder. I've never worked on a Briggs.🇺🇸

Hey Lou-eye, I haven’t had much experience with Briggs either but I really like this engine on the minibike. I also need a 220v outlet on the other side of my garage. I want a Ac/Dc TIG and plasma cutter. You’re doing it yourself? I was thinking about it. I did 220 to the back yard for a hot tub and it worked. Nobody got hurt..😂 Thanks for watching!!

That’s 79cc Intake is so cool to look at! Fancy! I’m still rocking the 79/99cc engines daily. Getting them ready for Portland. Gotta make the engines reliable up to 100 miles without failure.

Hey Elijah, Good to hear from you. I really like those manifolds also. I just purchased a AC/DC TIG machine and want to start making more manifolds. Have a great time in Portland. Looking forward to the video. Thanks for watching!!

Lol, I’ve been learning to weld. Got myself a really rough shaped Tig welder maybe could get it working for minibike/go kart stuff. Finally can make those pesky intakes for those Briggs flatheads!

Good stuff DIY Willy! You'll need to find a Briggs with the model number beginning with "13" like a Model 130202 so you can use those 5 HP race parts. The first two numbers of the model number are the cubic inch size of the engine, so a model 130202 would be 13 cubic inches. The 3.5 HP and the 5 HP engines share the same exact piston but the block size and crankshaft stroke are different. I've got race parts on the shelf for a 5 HP Briggs build as soon as it gets its turn on the bench.

I didn’t know enough about Briggs engines. Went out and bought all the billet shining stuff only to find out it won’t fit. Guess I’ll have to buy another engine. I’ll look for what you suggested. Thanks for the info and for watching!!

@DIYWilly ya the rail it was on weighed about 400 with tj in it and launched pretty violent in the first 60 foot it would pan out fail flat at the end of the 1/8 his best was 7.90 and 86 mph my buddy fox body ran in the 9s and tj would talk so much smack to him I'd roll around laughing as he turned red and tell me control your kid 😀

09 at the beginning of the model number means it’s a 9ci block. That means it’s A 3.5hp engine. There is no such thing as a small 5hp Now that engine can make 5 or more. Performance parts for the 9ci engines exist but are kinda rare and expensive. Look on eBay for a “mod 9” connecting rod. They are the strongest stock rods you can get.

Hello jldwolfe, Thanks for the clearification. I’ve been round and round with what this little engine is and all I could find was 5hp from a snow blower. Really sucked that I couldn’t find parts I wanted. I will look up “mod 9” and see what rabbit hole I go down. Thanks again and thanks for watching!!
