Since then they’ve been sitting for 12 years in a storage room in my home… they were in excellent condition when I stopped using them, had them facing the wall the entire time.. I want to hook them back up. What advice would be most helpful/effective to restore moisture to the rubber seal… ?? Do you think they are already dry rotted….also they are in a box… but it’s made for 10in woofers…. I was told when purchased that it would improve quality of sound… but I never switched boxes

When you say rubber seal, I assume you mean the surround on the woofer. There's really nothing you can do to rejuvenate them. Just inspect them and if they look good, hook him up and use them.

Im curious since you have run many scar audio subs and now your trying Hiyanka. Im looking for a dual 2 ohm sub but am torn between skar ix, sdr 12 or the hiyanka my brother has a Rockford Fosgate R2-500X1. I believe it does 500watts rms at both 2 or 1 ohm if im correct. Please tell me which one plays lower. Im goint to use an lc2i to tap into stock honda hrv head unit. Please give me your opinion ive asked a few youtubers so far noone has replied. I value your opinion since you been hands on with many of these models. To start off using the 12 ive had a basstube since early 90svuse to be in my shed has an old guitar speaker in it now. I hate how high it cross's over at. Think it plays full range. I have a passive crossover on it now crossed at 120hz still to high for my liking.

Most amps are rated at 14.4v so the Hyanka amp probably does rated power at 14.4v. To be only ~100-150 watts short at 12.5v or something is actually still, really good. I'd still be tempted to load these up with a bunch of 8 ohm mids wired to 1ohm and just be obnoxious xD

If they wrote 1200 rms on the box people would be singing their praises... It's one thing to grossly overrate the amp but they could have simply underrated it like most known brands do. Its a marketing thing, CEOs wanting to screw the customer while the engineer says what's what. Honestly if it's 5% within stated rms i think it's a win, and for the price its a steal.

Top strong gear tsg 1100.1d is the best deal for me at $109 and big D dyno it and got damn near 1500 watts out of it bro! But everybody doesn't like running full bridge, but it doesn't bother me. It did damn good for a Chinese half bridge though!

I know this video has a little bit of age to it but can anyone answer a couple of questions? I built a 24ah headway about 6 months ago. Am I good to just install this the way it sits with voltage, or should I charge it before installing. Will the alternator completely charge the bank if it's lower on volts from sitting or should it be charged completely from the go.
