I have the machete fight 15s 4 ohm 750 rms two of them, wired to 1 ohm I had them on a jp23 also but decided to throw more power at them in a 3.5 cube box so I put in a 43 and man! They get down and you can over power them but you have to be careful, remember they are still budget subs

From my own experience building sealed and ported boxes polyfill only works well in sealed applications. I loved some sealed when done right just as much as ported. I owned kicker and heard DB 12s before and they hit harder. Kicker more of an Sq in comparison imo.

This is the Fs of the machette: 37,60 / 38,00 Hz, and the comp-R is 31.5 Hz. So the kicker will play alittle lower even though it has less power. But good video! Oh, I also posted a video on how to choose the correct android head-unit.

the frequency at which the woofer resonates in free air. Fs will change in a box. Added weight to the cone can lower fs as well. After the subwoofer "breaks in" (the spider and cone surround) the fs lowers as well.

One would think a Kicker would play lower with low FS but I find they struggle with that. Comp C, CVR, CVX, I could never get them to play as low as I wanted without sounding odd.

And the kicker has a little more cone area compared to the deaf bonce mega roll surround

take you a piece of painters tape or electrical tape and put it on top of that hole and use black CA Glue behind that hole under the surround.

yeah air excaping mdf dont like screws in and out or need to get another box or and put those tabs for screws in the hole if u go be in and out sub

Surround is leaking and it still pounds. Just fix up the surround with some E6000 glue and a piece of fabric and it will back to 100% capacity :D

It would be pushed a lot harder on the same amp, it's 500rms the machete is 1200. That amp can push the kicker near it's max, the machete could take more power.

Surround has nothing to do with it playing lows when tuned properly the sub will hardly move and the kicker plays real low and the fs on the specs is way lower than that deaf bonce

Facts. It think the fs on the kicker is like 31hz and the fs on the deaf bonce is like 37hz. But you are absolutely correct. That’s why I said by just looking at it you’ll think the deaf bonce would play lower because of the mega roll surround

@@devontaylor8969they are sensitive when it comes to low voltage. If you let them drop to low it will burn up. Also pre out voltage on rca from your headunit , don’t exceed more than 4 volts I believe because that will also cause the amp to fail
