I drilled 2 small holes and thru bolted for my wires in my 4th. I did put a small peak in the top of my cutout to let water roll off the accordion boot.

Hell yea, I like it. It's cool to see a blow through build. I'd like to see more of the boot install, or at least get some updates on how it holds up. That's my only concern in doing this.

The boot have clamps on both ends of it. It literally just clips on the metal bro.

1 thing i wish someody would've mentioned to you is that you should've rounded your corners of the cab cut. Makes it ALOT easier to get a waterproof seal with the boot.

i did something similar in the late 90's, but i had a solid cap and i just opened the whole thing. i had 16 12's on a sealed clamshell style enclosure. a couple mmats d200hc's and it was good for 155+ db. that was pretty good back in the day, and i got a couple trophies with it.

Yeah it was unfortunately bro but it’s very very simple the boot has metal clamps on the inside of it so you just line the boot up with the edge of the hole and push it down and that’s it. The boot holds itself on. And it bends quite a bite so you can fit it around all edges. It’s just that simple bro 💪🏾 and of course you silicone around it to make sure it won’t leak for extra protection. Hope that helped

I’ve had a blow through in my truck for about 10 years… many different subs /amps and setups in general.. I’m at the point where the sheet metal is the truck is literally tearing..my point is when I look at the hole you cut you went way too high with it. You went though the double layer or “brace” below the glass. That’s a structural part of the truck. If you care about the truck at all you may want to fix that

It’s a factory bolt that was in there I hit it with the wire wheel and it’s been holding strong with no issues
