The only reason I could think giving the bottom of the box at least a quick coat, will just be to help with locking out moisture from being absorbed. You can also just oil the bottom with some boiled linseed oil, that would do an even better job probably. Not sure how much it rains where you're at, but water proofing the bottom of the box will help it last longer! :D

I know no ones going to see the bottom of the box but i would throw a coat on the bottom to help water 💧 proof it. But its your build do it how u want to. Can't wait to hear what that 4th order will sound like. Good job with the build. 👍

I'm a big audio fan and long time builder just wanna say good job so far I would strongly recommend running bolts thru the inside of the box that go thru the bed, one for safety and theft. That would really secure that huge box to the truck 👍

@Bassaddict91 Paint the bottom of the box. It needs to be sealed from moisture. If water gets in the bed its gonna rot the wood and you'll be doing the whole job all over again. Even with the channels built into the bed all the water won't run off.

@@BassAddict91 I do construction, so always scrutinizing things w/ info I get from every day shit. I definitely agree with the coating of it. Always the possibility of using sheet metal along the bottom inch or 2 like what’s used in HVAC condensate pans. As long as the vibration doesn’t make noise. I’m saying wrap and seal tight, paint, and nobody notices. Idk, just a thought

You already done but let me put you on: duratex or granotone. Cures faster than bedliner and doesnt stink half as bad-and is actually made for speaker boxes. Granotone is cheaper than duratex and they practically the same.

I have the same head unit kenwood. I have a bull shit amplifier it's 2000 watts boss but it's not giving me the whole potential. My sub is rated at 2200 watts what amplifier u suggest for a 2200 watts sub. Plus should my bass boost be set at 12 o'clock r 1 oclock

You really needed to do the bottom. It’s not for looks, it’s in case any water gets in the bed it will soak up into the bottom. Live and learn.
