Justin Jeske

My name is Justin and welcome to my KZread Channel!

Here I turn my passion for guitar into making fun and educational videos for you guys. My two biggest inspirations are John Mayer and John Frusciante, so most of my content revolves around those two. I take the years of research I have put into their sound and gear and try and help you guys sound like, or at least get closer to sounding like, your heroes.

I also provide a bit of a look into my own guitar journey, and will continue expand that as I grow because I am still learning and figuring things out along with you guys. I originally wanted to keep my channel more separate from my personal self but this has become a big part of my life and I felt like I should fully embrace that. It was the best decision as the community that has started from this is amazing.

Thank you for reading. I hope you have learned from and enjoyed the content I am bringing. It's only going to get better from here.

Justin

    I also know what's in the box. Speakers! one Ev 12l for the Overdrive 50, JBL 's for the twin, EV 12l for the Ultra. But john could play a Peavey Bandit and it would still sound awesome. Great video!

    I’m shocked that no one is talking about the PRS box on top that is passed by in the video. It’s clearly not a guitar box. But looks like something a head or cab could be shipped in. Is John teasing us right under our nose? Haven’t seen this brought up yet. Maybe this is part of the thing Justin knows but can’t share?!?!?

    Wood breathing, is still one of the most hilarious things musicians say. Its so dumb. You dont hear people saying "no! I dont want tolex over my cab.....the wood dude,...it needs to breathe" as ppl dont really give a shlt about their amps.and if you wanna go one further, you got all the tweed amps that where slathered in laquer, which was only cosmetic as a way to sorta seal the material like a leather or whatnot, its just a treatment.... Bmand you dont see ppl taking amps from the 60s and stripping the cab so the wood can breathe. The worship of the instrument itself, among guitarists is unhealthy. They believe in magic

    Well Gee I wonder why he would be placing the amp on its side? I know someone else that did the same thing...Jarry Garcia..who had one silver face and one blackface fender twin on its side. My guess is the dumble is close to what a fender twin like Jerry had..

    @@jlbaxe a Two Rock amp would be one of the best next steps as well, I like the Vertex because I layer it with my Rockerverb 50C to make it my own, but that dumble purist tone can never truly be achieved by a pedal alone. It also can't be achieved with $250 alone lol it needs more like $5000 for any of the worthwhile options.

    A little info, Mayer&Bonamassa bought their Dumble amps, Alexander never built them one,,,, Robben Ford sold his other Dumble, he’s kept the blonde, Carlos had some Dumble amp since the 80’s, Maybe a little earlier, plus he’s the last guitarist That Alexander built him so many amps before his death, Carlos was taking care of Alexander Dumble on his last days, funding,, Carlos only plays Dumble and Bludoo amps now, no more Mesa Boogies, Alexander built amps for guitar players with a remarkable TONE, Carlos, Robben, Larry and Stevie, those who made the amp very special famous, Robben takes all the credit, IMO

    I saw John in Nashville about three years ago. I am an old guy, who has used Ampeg SVT’s and played with Loud Drummers, and lots of guitarists using 50 & 100 watt Marshall’s and Boogie’s. The volume at the beginning of the show was crushing in the front of house. 😢 I was looking for anything I could find to stick in my ears because it was downright painful. I like loud, but the volume levels that the front of house guys can inflict upon audience are Downright dangerous! About 1/3 of the way through the show, they brought things down to a loud, but acceptable sound level. I can totally understand them, not wanting any excess volume on stage when trying to control those types of Db levels.

    I don’t understand the fascination and love of the whole “Satin Finish” shit on guitars?!?! They’re skipping a step on the finish. And even if that isn’t true, they ALL still feel like an el cheapo first act kind of guitar. I’ve never felt one that I liked, and when I got my 40th anniversary Squier tele, I IMMEDIATELY buffed that satin shit off of there!😂 I’ll be so happy when this satin fad runs its course!

  • @fiveightandten
    @fiveightandten11 күн бұрын

    In this case its just the back of the neck that's satin. It's a functional decision, as your hand slides easier over satin, as opposed to gloss. The Revstar bodies are gloss.
