I went to the one in October in Atlanta he only used the acoustics and his custom 12 string steel guitar he didn't use any electrics (strats/prs)
The one thing that makes me think is: why now he chose to let a deep dive into his gear happen? Maybe he has a special relation with Japan fans?
Well as far as John Mayer goes in the dead & Company rendition I think he's going to go down as one of the most gifted guitars in American history I love Jerry a lot but I'll tell you John is telling BB King a little bit comes out Blues very smooth really enjoy it

really? what about the Dozens of creative Session guys who played on Hundreds of hits with far more creative hooks😅 Try and play Jay Graydon, Tommy Tedesco, Lee Ritenour, Larry Carlton, Louie Shelton, Joe Pass. Even John would defer. Listen to John Jorgenson recordings. Albert Lee. Danny Gatton. Lenny Breau Mark Knopfler Ed Bickert Al Di Meola John McLaughlin Jeff Beck. Brent Mason. John is just a pop star. I have taught high school students with more talent who went to university and perform in theatre shows!sheesh
