Sweet! I wanna see John play some Hendrix on a Lefty SE Silver Sky!!

I met Paul at crossroads 2023, spoke to him for about 15 mins. Being a Lefty and a JM fan, ofcourse The first question I asked him was will he be making a left handed silver sky and he directly answered “no”. He gave me his reasonings one of them being, “John doesn’t want to”. Here we are months later and now we have a left handed silver sky. Maybe John finally crumbled under pressure 😂

Paul is a coward for blaming this on JM. Paul has complained about lefties, at every possible opportunity, for YEARS, ever since his first run of lefties (I think in 1998) over-produced relative to demand. But a LOT has changed over 25-ish years. CNC machines are way better and cheaper, and internet sales have revolutionized both market research and matchmaking between retailers and prospective customers. A few years ago, after Paul complained about lefties AGAIN at a Q&A, I wrote PRS a (measured, but frustrated) 4-page email about how I love this company, but that Paul is dead wrong on this, and that it’s hard to defend this brand when he keeps putting us down at every opportunity. It found its way to COO Jack Higgenbotham, and Jack very graciously responded, thanking me for my support and assuring me that they were looking for feasible opportunities to serve the lefty market better. And to his credit, they’ve been diversifying the lefty SE Custom 24 Lineup (baritone, Floyd Rose, 24-8, SE Standard 24s, different colors, etc.). I’ve never seen JM complain about lefties. I don’t think he has historically had a dog in the fight, and his “hmm” emoji at the lefty Silver Sky request seems consistent with that.

I emailed them years ago for one of their Silver Sky models, funny of them to say they listened over two years later LOL!

Today I went to my local PRS dealer and placed a deposit on TWO. One maple and one rosewood, both in grey. Stoked. PRS says early September is when they expect shipping to start. Thanks for letting us all know these were available. I appreciate you and your channel.

@@shawnsosa1159 do you know why they did not invent an inverted left-handed piano... ? every lefthanded pianoplayer learned the right-handed way... also, all lefties i know who play guitar play right-handed. also imagine a pc type-keyboard inverted from right to left horizontally, that just doesnt make any sense, some things you use the right way without inverting it, so why would you limit yourself into learning specific things in a uncommon way. now you cant play guitar when you find a normal right-handed one, which always puts you at a disadvantage......................................................................................................... just think about the idea to flip things without reason just because you write with your left hand :). what other things do lefties switch? if you drive a car, the gear shift and the order of the gas pedal and break pedal arent switch for lefties right? why dont you drive a lefthanded car, and type on a lefthanded keyboard haha. im just kidding but im just thinking about why even switch at all, it limits your behaviour, you cant use right-handed stuff otherwise. real opinion: yes sure learn the way you prefer. but it will limit you

I usually play super modern metal stuff, but since i've recently been listening to Kick by INXS again I really wanted a strat with single coils. Loving purple and pink makes the choice super easy.
