PLS READ IF YOU ARE BROKEN HEARTED: I was in a 2 year relationship with this guy and when we broke up, it hit soo hard. I kept on fantasizing about our relationship for about two years. He recently came to where I live and we spent about 8 hours together. He is a completely different person now. I find him kind of annoying tbh. To each their own, but I just wished I hadn't wasted so much time imaging what could've been because push comes to shove he can't even live up to the idea of him I created in my head 💖💖💖 Thanks for your videos shallon

@LanguageGirl- This!!! I had a similar situation but with a few differences. After a 6 year relationship that when it ended I was utterly destroyed I spent 3 years doing the same thing and I only kept thinking of all the good times and how great things would be if we got back together. We did start seeing each other again, after a few months I started to see what kind of person he had become, or had always been. He used to drink toomuch, would be abusive, allowed friends to treat me like shit , just toxic. The three years I spent fantasizing about him I had forgot how terrible he really was. Now 10 months later all I can think is I dodged a bullet, I am happy we did get back together for those few months because that was the closure I needed and now 9 years later I’m FINALLY over him!!

After break ups I always find myself saying, "Rachel no one is coming to save you." It's such a powerful reminder that no one can fill this void I feel inside that has always been there. It's my responsibility to address my psychological splinters & heal myself. No one can do that for me.

And if I have to add one thing, until you heal your deepest wounds, every relationship will eventually ALWAYS broke down, because everything that is not healed will be reflected even when we don't even notice it. This is a fact. So do the work for yourself first, then you can stay with whoever you want!

Laura Flowers you’re absolutely right. That’s honestly one of the most powerful lessons I’ve learned in my life thus far. And that realization happened recently for me after my last break up. I use guys to distract myself from looking at & dealing with my own shit. But as long as I do that, my relationships will always fail. Bc underneath everything is my own unhappiness which naturally will come thru in an intimate partnership. They really are beautiful reflections that show you where you’re hurt inside. So painful to do the actual work on urself. Much easier to be the cat batting around tinfoil as Shallon says 😅😅 but I now know I must heal myself before I will ever have a successful long term partnership. 💕 thank u for ur comment. Sending u love

You should do a gossip girl series! Like a breakdown of the different characters (e.g. Serena, Jenny, Blair) What we can learn from them, why we like/dislike them as viewers, their good/bad traits, what they should have done differently, etc. Of course it’s just an idea, but I think a lot of people would like it, it’s something new and different and you know more about the show than most people. Also for me I love your videos/advice but I am so sick of celebrities by this point, so I would love this and I feel you would enjoy making it 💕

I would have loved someone telling me to take care of myself before f boys and users. I think that she does help younger girls a lot. My only concern about Shallon is how she always makes statements implying how people who question her or challenge her online do so because they are weaker than her. This creates a situation where she is telling younger girls that anyone who has differing opinions is beneath them. But the truth is her advice isn’t always going to be spot on- no one is. I know she is referring to trolls but I worry that younger fans will tune out all differing points of views.

I think the problem is, she does say problematic things quite often and she usually states her opinion on those matters as fact. For the majority of people, it’s easy enough to sift through the videos and glean the good advice from the problematic things. However, it does get sticky when her whole thing is to help people who may be down or lost and are extra susceptible to every little thing. So when she says the harmful things, the women who take her word as gospel are more likely to accept that behavior. Usually I am in the camp of saying the consumer is responsible for themselves and must discern what is right and wrong from what is presented, but it does get nuanced when the audience is specifically vulnerable people.

The breakups from toxic people hurt the most because it takes awhile for the “toxicity” to leave your system. To me it’s like being slowly poisoned with something disguised as medication that comes in your favorite flavor. It didn’t kill you, but it wreaks havoc on your system for a long while.

Breakup withdrawals aren't just about dopamine, there's a lot more to it. The brain is fascinating. In the same way that the brain creates these painful feelings, it can also help you recover. Never underestimate the power & ability of the human brain. You can use your brain to recover from a breakup or negative feelings in general by regularly doing a few things 1) don't search their social media or look at pictures of them 2) start exercising or change up an existing routine. Not only will this release chemicals that make you feel good, but it'll give you a body image boost💃 3) distract yourself with an activity that interests you, especially when you're thinking about your ex. Keep a funny movie or stand-up comedy on hand, practice your makeup skills/ nail the winged eyeliner you've been struggling with, clean out your drawers, organize your pantry, pressure wash your driveway, do whatever it takes. 4) choose a few positive mantras to repeat throughout the day or any time you start to feel bad. It sounds cheesy & you may feel stupid, but I promise it works. Praise yourself, point out things you like about yourself or make a list of those things. 5) if all else fails and you keep thinking about your ex, think about the things you WON'T miss. We usually view things through Rose Colored Glasses in the beginning of a relationship, romanticizing possibilities, but we tend to use those same glasses when our heart gets broken. We're romanticizing what could have been just like we romanticize what could be, focus on what is now. If you've never heard of negativity bias you should look into it, our brains focus on negative events more than positive events, negative events are always more memorable. I think it's a survival thing. It takes conscious effort on a regular basis to make positivity your go-to, but it's possible. Focus on the moment and love yourself, put yourself first because no one else will. You're not selfish for ensuring your peace of mind mentally, physically, emotionally or spiritually. It's okay to say no, it's okay to refuse and it's okay to think you're amazing. YOU ARE AMAZING!!! Sending love and positive vibes to each one of you❤

Hm, I heard a different theory about the negative focus. That our brain focuses on the positive things in the long run. After a break up or quitting a job for obvious reasons you look back and think awww, why did I do that, and start remembering the good times because your brain filters all the negativity away as a survival mechanism, that is why you can go back to a guy. But that is what I read, do you think it’s true ?

Depends. People always look down upon others who date soon after their last relationship but not until you know details, you should't judge peoples choices. I fell in love with my current partner when still being with my ex and that was because my ex did not show enough love and appreciation in the same way that I did. I felt like I was being held back by my emotions in life. It hurt me daily so I broke up with him after a year together. Got together officially with my current partner 2/3 months later and we have been together for over 4 years now. I have grown so much individually in this relationship mainly because at some point during this relationship, I stopped depending on my boyfriend to bring me constant happiness, attention and love. I realized that yeah, the problem was in me too depending too much on him. But what I'm trying to say is that you can very much grow and find yourself being in the relationship as well. People tend to 'lose' themselves in a relationship because they depend too much on their partners. You need to maintain the independent factor in you as much as possible for a healthy and a happy relationship imo.

Honestly I did like that she was so honest about her depression and heartbreak because SO many of us can relate to what she said-- so she really doesn't need to try so hard to seem like she's not vulnerable after a breakup. And when someone wants to be in show business and "makes it", they don't get to completely control the type of press they get or escape the bad parts of being famous. You’re just amazing. I hadn’t spoken to my best friend for several months, life just happened, and then we started talking again and she told me she loved you (as do I), so you’ve brought two lifetime best friends even closer! I used to get so caught up in guys (in high school) that I would miss out on things, etc. i would get physically sick if I went through a bad breakup. I don’t know why, I’m a confident lady. I just hope if I have to go through it in the future, it would be worth it, good character development lol😭

Hi Shallon, I’ve been in a healthy relationship for almost 10 years and I discovered your channel last year. Even though you give dating advice, I’ve applied the fundamentals of your messaging to other parts of my life (work, family, and especially friendships)...it’s helped a lot! There were questionable habits I noticed in others before but couldn’t quite articulate why it was bad. Now it’s so easy to predict when certain individuals will repeat the patterns again because “the best way to predict future behaviour is past behaviour”. Just wanted to thank you and let you know you’ve helped some of us in more than just dating. Also, so excited for evil week! Anyone who doesn’t understand the whole concept of it is just...yeah lol it’s not that hard to understand??

She's gone from gaslighting her very young audience (there's a tiktok of a young girl screaming about Madison Beer), wrecking her ex's reputation, to staging a "paparazzi" photoshoot at a BLM protest (and possibly lying about getting tear gassed, too). David Debris- I mean Dobrik made a joke about how she "likes guys who don't like her" in some video they made together on I forget what app. Would you be making anymore videos on our modern day definition of the beautiful mean girl?

I'm pretty neutral when it comes to celebs (I enjoy a few of Madison's songs and admire her beauty), and I can agree she has a very strong tendency to play the victim. She even mentioned in that interview that she didn't want her BPD to excuse her (unspecified) behavior, but also wants people to understand why she's the way she is?... To me, it just seems like she's struggling to keep up with her lies/manipulation...

My therapist made me realize how codependent I am on my father. I'm really close with my dad, I've always been since I was a little girl. My dad is the type of dad that if I call him at 3 am because I have car troubles or some other thing he's there in minutes to help me with everything I need. I think this is why I'm codependent in my relationship with my boyfriend. I always try to fix all his problems. I feel like...the way that my dad treats me is the same way I treat my boyfriend. I'm so glad I've realized that ! I need to let my boyfriend solve his own problems and try not to be the savior all the time. Since I've realized that our relationship "grew up" in a way and I'm really happy about it.

I feel like people nowadays don’t know how to grief, people also expect to be healed in a matter of days, that’s extremely unhealthy, healing is something you need to create for yourself so you have peace, it’s not an easy task, it’s created by changing your mindset in a healthy amount of time, don’t expect someone that just had a break up to be dancing and laughing and with the most positive mindset, with that being said, I am so tired of her talking about it all the time with the media, it’s normal to only think about it because healing is not a straight path, but you should act privately if you don’t want people talking about it. She should create new activities for herself so the journey is easier and she can put her mind to something.

Which is nice now that I'm getting older to realize that it isn't my problem or my fault if my mom is having a bad day or going through shit she got through it before she can get through it again but I'll be there as a daughter but with HEALTHY boundaries! It has changed our lives for the better!!! It's like what ppl say about dogs that a trained dog is a happy dog!!! I'm not knocking on her mental health but this profession is not for the faint of heart and she's clearly very sensitive and huffy at the slightest comment or "invasion" of privacy. I get that sometimes you're not in the mood or have a bad day, but all I ever seem to read from her are statements firing back at the media/fans.

Thank you for sharing your experience Shallon. 🙏🏼❤️I was raped by a guy my roommate and bff from high school brought to our house. It happened while I was asleep in my own bed. And when I told my friend he didn’t believe me. And the guy denied it too. Then his family started harassing me and threatening me and calling me a liar. I called the police and they said that because he didn’t finish inside me (because I woke up and started hitting him and screaming and he left) that there wasn’t any evidence and they couldn’t do anything. No one came to my rescue. Nothing ever happened to my rapist. If anything I got ridiculed and threatened because of it. That kind of realization was so painful and a really tough pill to swallow. I’ve battled with myself so much since then, trying to not become an angry, bitter, and distrustful person. But your viewpoint of taking it as a learning lesson to empower yourself is uplifting and so thank you for sharing it.

Exactly! Do do not date a co-worker! I had a half a year relationshio with one. What a ride! And after that I was for a week sick, I have returned back - and he didn´t talked to me anymore! He ghosted me at our working place! We just greeted after that....but, hey, what a looser! :D

This video hit, when she mentioned why as women, we put relationships on the pedestal. At the end of the day, we’re the great ones when we focus on ourselves. I mean, yes there are some great guys, but honestly we make them out to be Gods, and knights and we center ourselves around them, and when we do that it ends up being a waste of energy. Lesson learn, we never regret focusing on ourselves, and dealing with our shit!

This is awesome advice. I think this especially hard for people who didn’t really have families, relationships have been a way for me to pretend they were my family. Can you do a video related to this? Or is there already one

Lili out here acting like she’s the first person to have depression made worse by a breakup. I don’t know girl, seems very defensive when obviously people understand she’s probably hurting from losing a significant other. Most people don’t amicably break up and skip off into the sunset together... especially coworkers when you’ve established your dynamic as a couple..... but ok, sounds good! You keep doing u boo

I pick up on people’s vibes very easily and for some reason right from the start ever since I saw Lili Reinhart in Riverdale and in various interviews, I just got bad vibes from her. I always disliked her and my friends had no idea why. Guess I was right about that.
