I think you can know someone fairly well within 6 months, I think the difference is after 2 years you’re more aware of their character flaws and how they’re not going away. So I think pay attention to seemingly innocuous things, and have hard conversations. We often expect people to change and after knowing them for years we’re suddenly aware that they’re not. But those things were always there you just ignored them because they were new. The people I’ve known for years have not drastically changed from who they were when I’d known them for 6 months.

@@Chloe-ul3vd you do realize dating for 5 years doesn’t mean your relationship is going to last? How long you date someone guarantees nothing, when as a society are we gonna to realize there is no formula to this.

People need to realize that the honeymoon phase can last up to two years and why not just WAIT. Sometimes I think we forget that the importance of marriage is being a wife, not a bride.

I see it as: 1) Go through the honeymoon phase and come out the other side. 2) Move in together 3) Spend at least a year living together so you really get to feel out who they are when they let their guard down at home. Maybe then you can get married, but please take it slow... Nothing really changes when you get married, but everything changes when you need to end it and you will most likely always find yourself in a situation where you need to get out if you rush in too fast.

Little Darling you don’t have to sleep with someone to find out there the right persons. Statistics show it worse to move in with someone before married because you are giving him wife privileges. If you have to live with someone first to know if you love them you don’t love them enough and you also are not truly committed and you also don’t know yourself enough. Ladies be careful most men know if they see you as a potential wife within a couple dates some know on the first date. The more you know yourself the more you trust and look out for signs that this person is for you. When you play house before a ring not only is it morally wrong but you get burnt too.

iLexy 3 like I said the more you know yourself the less time it takes to figure out someone’s character but the minute most women sleep with a man you have a bias towards him even if all the signs are pointing to no. and women have a very powerful thing called female intuition which is a gut feeling when you are very in tune with your self and there’s also another thing we have which is ears I can pick up red flags with someone from meeting them once from what they say and also more importantly what they don’t say tells me a lot about them. This also goes for people who are just nice if they never express negative emotions that’s a flag in itself. I can even spot insecurity in a person just from body language.This takes time and practice but I do not have to live with someone to know their character. Fully loving someone unconditionally can take 10 years but you can get the essence and character of a person from a few weeks to months

Arianna played Annie at age 8 in Ft. Lauderdale Theater and hasn’t stopped since. From old interviews, it looks like her mother was pushy and wanted a child star. Lots of WEIRD happened with Nickelodeon and Dan Schneider’s iCarly+Victorious shows. And her pop star status keeps getting stronger and stronger. Maybe she desperately wants some calmness and stability in her life and is jumping at the possible chance with a “right” man. Not relatable, but relatable.

Ariana has serious daddy issues. She comes from a home where her dad was rumoured to be an alcoholic. It was a really toxic environment growing up til her parents divorced. She didn't even keep her dad's last name and they had turbulent relationship. I found my self in a similar situation growing up with an abusive father, trying to make a husband out of every boyfriend. That was until my therapist told me it was because I, like Ariana, had a really bad family growing up, so I subconsciously felt like my purpose is to create a happy, solid family myself in order to redo it in my head, as fast as possible. It needs a lotttt of work to get past the trauma and really forgiving the ones who hurt you and most importantly yourself.

i get this issue you described, with justin bieber as well. he gives off vibes that he is so desperate to have a stable family (his season's documentary really showcased this), that he rushed to marry hailey, and he's always talking about how he's gonna be when he's a father. i feel really sad for him, that he can't find validation and purpose in himself as just a young man.

To be honest he‘s probably the best boyfriend she ever had. Her family seems happy for her. Maybe he‘s good for her. This doesn’t seem so wrong as before. I definitely think that quarantine has made them think that they know so much about each other. Quarantine has given celebrities a sense of normalcy in not having to go out and do celebrity things, feeling settled down in their homes, being unrecognizable w masks in public. When things get back going again for her I hope they'll both still see eye to eye and not think they just needed each other during a quarantine or in rough times.

Looks like Ariana is the JLo of her generation, just jumping from man to man, engagement to engagement, marriage to marriage. JLo has recently admitted that she just couldn't stand to be alone ie. was desperate to find a man, get a man, keep a man. She's only now at 50 learned that you need to actually discern who the Right man is. Didn't Ariana learn anything from Demi and that whole debacle? I feel during this pandemic, some form of trauma binding has occurred with new couples deciding to live together through it and then get engaged. Also.. he looks like a young teenage boy.

Never been in a relationship that went slowly, until now in my mid thirties. Mainly because I had nothing and looked to men to rescue me. My mind set has changed and so has my outlook on relationships. IMO the first year is bullshit, everyone on their best. Get to year three still living apart and owning nothing jointly, then commit fully. You don’t know jack about anyone until that 3rd year. Especially because witnessing a bored mate, which usually happens by then, will show you a lot more than any other circumstance will. How a person handles boredom makes or breaks.

I believe 1 year and six months is enough to get engaged, and marriage after 2 years of relationship. Before this people are still blinded by passion and exitement.

I hate how people force parenthood and marriage down our throats. Notice how it's always the miserable underachievers that want everyone to get married. As the child of a miserable, unfulfilled parent please, please pursue your career first. It's not fun for the kids either.

It hits home for me, I am the child of an unfulfilled couple that are together for 50 years. They foisted upon me marriage and kids. I can marry in the future and maybe have children, but first I wanna go out of the poor area that I live and give to my future kids what I don't have. "Craft a life you dont want to run away from" I love that Escapism is how I used to label my constant need to have a crush or interesting guy to focus on so I could daydream and romanticize it to stimulate good feelings in me, so i wouldnt focus on the depression i felt while at home watching my parents live out a toxic marriage. Now that ive gained experience, ive realized, the whole time my soul was screaming for me to heal and redirect my love back into myself instead of directing it out onto guys, who tbh they werent even that amazing or special if i really looked at them (not to bash, but that need to escape reality to feel love is what blinded me from the truth that i needed that love, i needed that support, i wanted to feel joy, so im practicing now how to "create a life i dont want to run away from" and really does all start from inside of our selves)

I just think Shallon jumped the gun a bit on this reaction video by trying to get it out the day of the news. I think the lessons are more that she finally found a non chaotic healthy partner after dealing with so many broken men for so long.

Yeah I think she really needs constant stimulation, I can see it in her Netflix documentary, when Mac passed away a lot of people wondered why she continued touring included me, why she didn’t heal in private ? , and in a tour, celebrities had a lot of stimulation and are adored by their fans, so I think she regulate hers emotional state in this things , like being loved

Pearls are really soft to be in an engagement ring. This is assuming she’d wear it every day. I wanted an aquamarine engagement ring, maybe opal but learned they’re both too fragile for daily wear. Ended up with a sapphire. Really like Ari’s ring and I’m impressed by the unique design, definitely doing their own thing, super cool

Flor Fernandez I always felt bad for Mac. I felt like Ari did him dirty. Very shortly after her and Mac broke up she “started” dating Pete. I feel like she cheated on Mac, but I don’t really have evidence. She just doesn’t know how to keep herself fulfilled on her own, and her constant need for male validation is actually really worrisome. She’s a great artist though. I never got good vibes from mac either. I felt like he was a terrible choice for her being a drug addict and having severe mental health issues that she thinks she can "save" him from. You need to be more open minded and sympathetic/empathetic. No most people aren’t weak. Trauma bonding is a thing. People who have never seen good or healthy relationships in their family life are more likely to pick partners that mirrors what they grew up seeing. Not everyone but up good portion does. People / Society literally raised everyone that life goal is school, job, marriage,house and kids.

Well, we all know that Ariana has PTSD ever since the terror attack at Manchester. She said in past interviews that she cannot live on her own because of her fears and that she must be surrounded by friends and family all the time. I think thats the reason (or at least one of the reasons) that she finishs a relationship and immediatly starting a new one. maybe its a PTSD and an abandomment issues.

I know someone who casually knows Pete, through very close mutual friends - the mutual friend knows him very very well (Staten Island is like a small town lol), and she said he's so kind, genuine, down to earth, and just a pretty normal person. Yeah he has issues including those stemming from his dad's 9/11 death, but I think what happened with them says more about her than about him, especially since she's already engaged to someone else only like 2 years later. She just seems... unreliable to me. I don't think he was innocent but I think he got screwed over by her.

I tried to rush into a couple relationships when I was in high school. At the time, I couldn't think of a single thing I liked about either guy outside of them making me laugh and telling me that I'm pretty. My friends were more likeable and seemingly had no problem getting into relationships. I felt inadequate compared to them and looked to guys for validation. Now, when I get into one of those spirals, I listen to "Too Much" by Kehlani and "Joan of Arc" by Little Mix for a confidence boost.

Honestly I don’t know how to feel about this whole thing because for one I’m in such a positive place that if people say they are happy, I’m happy for them. I do feel like it’s like “whoa, that was unexpected “ but at the same time I feel like she did take time to herself to just be. While Pete was serial dating (which it’s what it is) so for all we know she took her time and maybe had met him for a while and then took the chance. I do agree with shallon on the being too close to the family and having access to heirlooms as being odd though. Also, my last relationship was in April. We lived together for 6 months and we dated on and off for 2 years prior to that. It was toxic, addictive and painful. But this time it felt so final. And I had known this other guy for almost 4 years and he’s liked me for so long. A few months ago , we connected and I recently saw him in a different light. Something that didn’t happened before maybe because of the fog of my previous toxic relationship ect. But i feel at peace with myself in my life now and he brings me even more peace. As it should be. I actually was slowing out relationship and I think he’ll ask me to be his gf on new year’s. After not giving him an answer, I finally want to say yes. He compliments me rather than complete me. And from my own words to him when he told me “I want every part of you” I told him I wouldn’t give him my all but yes a very sacred special part. When he asked why I said “because a big part is for myself, my passions/ goals, my pet, my loved ones and then you.” And you know what he said? “Dang you’re amazing! I like you so much” lol because you come first. Always. You are the only one that will be in your life forever. So I hope Ariana knows this and she will be good. Wish her the best ☁️🤍

Romanticism killed love!!! People just wanna rush into things insanely and they don’t wanna take their time and actually try to get to know each other before saying I love you or getting engaged obviously. I like Ariana. I think she is smart, funny, and talented, but I just *don't* understand where her constant need for male validation comes from? She is gorgeous. She is filthy rich. Seriously. I am starting to think she is emptier inside than she lets on, and that is sad because she has so much to offer to the world, and her being in a relationship or being involved with someone romantically doesn't automatically elevate her, it never will. Self love will. Self care will. Self respect will. I do think there are some underlying issues because outwardly she projects confidence, but noone knows what she feels inside. This video resonates so well..I wish my past self would have watched this. I rushed into a relationship last year and it was such a disaster of abuse that it shook me out of my core. I had to take therapy intensely, I had to sit back and reflect on why do I rush in situations without knowing someone and all the logistics, it's been a year of being single and it has been the most liberating experience. I could analyze myself, learn from my past experiences, and I still want to remain completely single for some more years so that I can continue to work on myself and create the best life.

I really loved this video, and think the advice was good. I just wonder if you’d ever be interested in doing a video about how to get into dating vs. going too fast. I feel like it’s the opposite of going in to fast for me, but in a negative, over correction type of way. Would love to see advice for people on the opposite spectrum.

Hahaha I am the same. I think we are introverts. I even was in a long distance relationship and I literally didn’t care that I couldn’t see my boyfriend for months 😂

Yes! Yes! Yes! I’m the same way. I actually recently got into a relationship and I just feel like I keep reminiscing being single. Like, I don’t want to worry about anybody else but myself and I hate wanting attention. When I was single, I didn’t have to worry about that. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or if I have some work to do. 😂
