So , I need to let everyone know Kathy Perry is actually a really nice celebrity . My niece went through a bit of a rough time in terms of her health . She is 8. My sister is friends with Orlando’s brother So my sister asked Orlando’s brother if Katy could send my niece a few words of encouragement. During a gathering in France while Katy was there, Katy recorded a beautiful video for my niece , stating all of her health issues, encouraging her to push forward and commenting very positively about my nieces singing , telling her about her dreams to become an artist since she was a child and how she made it, and encouraging my niece to do the same My niece was so happy, and when she showed this message to her classmates , she became the most popular girl of her class 🤗 More important, it really encouraged her , made her really happy that her idol would say those nice things to her Katy didn’t have to do that ... just the fact that she took the time to listen to my niece’s story , and record a video for her Pretty amazing ! I love her know

Before I married my husband I was engaged to a total love bomber who would treat me like shit and then totally worship me. We got engaged after two months! I ignored the bad stuff and ALL the red flags for a year until I realized he was trying to change literally everything about me. He bought all my clothes, separated me from my friends, tried to trigger my latent bulimia (not kidding), tried to get me into anal, and on and on until I realized how abusive he was and dropped his ass. YOU CAN’T IGNORE THE RED FLAGS! You’ll end up married to an asshole who doesn’t respect you.

Okay, can we just appreciate how Shallon is genuinely happy and celebrating that Katy has stopped a toxic cycle, like, I felt that and it made me realize how we have this supportive, strong, smart and funny group of women in each other with the Shallontourage? 💖💖 Thankful not only for the content Shallom serves but also how she built a community for us with the Shallontourage. 💖👑 P.S. I am ready for what would be amazing collabs would happen when Shallon Meyer becomes a reality, YAS! 🙌 (I love Johan Mayer, I recognize he can be a douche and ridiculous at times, but his work? Ugh. 💖 Battle Studies takes me to a different world, no matter what year I listen to it.)

Also, I was living in NYC when Russell Brand was married to Katie, and he had his agent go after a friend of mine to get her number...she was a tall thin blonde, model looking type...so I know he was probably cheating on Katie at the time or at the very least trying to. My friend denied her agent. We giggled about it later because we both think he's totally gross.

"Katy and Orlando made sure they each possessed the skills that they need, both separately and in each other." I remember my mom once told me she thought a big part of the reason she and my step-dad worked so well, was because when they started dating, they both sat down and listed the things that had broken their previous marriages, and what was a deal-breaker for them, and what their own perceived faults were. Then they decided, "I can live with you doing this if you can live with my obsessive need to that, that's not a deal-breaker for me. Cool? Cool." I kept this in mind after my own first marriage crumbled, and when I started to get serious about my now-husband, I was brutally honest with both him and myself. "I'm stubborn, I have a temper, I tend to walk away during moments I find myself getting too heated to calm down; in the past, I'd find a button and when I was mad, I'd push it on purpose," etc. I also made sure I learned from the mistakes of my past and didn't repeat them. We just hit our seven-year anniversary, yesterday.

I have been single-not dating since summer last year. I want to get my personal finances back on track before I commit to a relationship. I've also come to the realization that I'm not happy with some other things in my life that I want to fix before I will be confident enough to be in a relationship. I used to get jealous so easily and when I finally got to the root of why I discovered it was because I wasn't confident with my body. No matter how many times someone tells you "you're beautiful" or "you're sexy" if you don't feel that way in your own skin, it just doesn't matter. So I started working out again and set fitness goals for myself. I'm getting there, and hopefully one day will find my Orlando and have a happily ever after story like Katy. So happy for her!

Big John Mayer fan here. I recall hearing him in an interview or podcast - maybe his own IG show - where someone asked him if he goes to museums. He immediately said no. Then he must have reconsidered how stupid that sounded and tried to backtrack and said he doesn’t go to them much. So I love that the thing Katy did post-breakup was visit museums and learn for herself. John is immensely intelligent, yes, but I would not necessarily call him an intellectual. He knows what he is interested in but is not well read or broadly cultured beyond his narrow niche interests like music, watches, Japanese fashion, etc.

When my girlfriends complain to me about how bad their relationships are, I always tell them to take time by themselves to heal. Unfortunately, they seem to be validated by their relationships and aren't single for more than a few days (if not they overlap relationships) at a time. They pick guys that present the same bad habits and patterns and when they complain the same problems, all I can do is 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ I've had my share of awful relationships and decided on a path of self healing- it's been three years and I feel shitty about not having a partner but I hope I've worked on myself enough to not pick guys with the same traits. It's taken a lot of self control, introspection, no more wasting my time with people who aren't on my level nor interested in having a true partnership. No more 50%

Sara Aguerria Hi! : ) lI think Russel was probably lazy in that dept & wanted her to do all the work. Or maybe he wasn’t very good at “inspiring” her to want to do better. He admitted he had cheated numerous times. That tells me he has an inferiority complex when it comes to women. He wants constant reassurance that he’s still “got it!”. I think Mr. Brand may equate being a “good lover” with “quantity” of lovers, not “quality” of those lovers. Anyone can learn to satisfy their partner if the partner vocalizes their preferences & guides them to whatever makes them happy. He may have thought that she should have “instinctively” known what he wanted, but people are not mind readers. I don’t dislike him, but I think what he did to her, shows a lack of maturity & respect, for women. Orlando Bloom seems like a better match in my opinion. I hope they are happy & have a nice little family together.

I've been going through the same things as Katy for as long as she's had boy problems and family problems. I think she started to change because of Transcendental Meditation (I also do this meditation), and she has mentioned it being the one thing that Russell gave to her that she wouldn't want to give back. I have really looked up to both Katy and Orlando and when they finally got together, it was my definition of like a happy ending... a few months later, I met the man for me. I have been doing the same work Katy was doing, and every guy that came along, it was like I was preparing to meet someone that I could stick with and grow with. Orlando and Katy together was absolutely shocking for me to hear!!!! and what's even more shocking is that I'm in a relationship, ALSO with an 8 year age gap, my boyfriend is older than me. But we are so in love, and give one another a safe haven for healing. Shallon, you're such a Big sis to me, because I also view things from a psychological perspective. I'm so glad I found your channel. You are a fantastic role model.

I'm finding a pattern in my dating life where I date emotionally unavailable dudes, younger than me, most of them are alcoholics, discrete, big ego. I realize now that maybe I am trying to recreate a family relationship as my father was literally all that and more to me and my mother. I maybe also dating younger men because I'm insecure with the fact that I'm 25 and people see that as "old" (although I know it is not, at ALL). My choices in relationships, I realize now, are an accumulation of my past trauma and personal insecurities. I'm getting better. I will find myself and love myself fully, and hopefully one day the universe will grant me someone to share me with.

The part that actually IS interested in life, not just jaded and needing to poke fun at others' expense.
