Because her agency actually helped her go along with it since she was already doing the fake accent, the tanning, the being vague about her ethnicity, they figured having marketing her as an "immigrant" from Spain would be more bankable for her. True enough, she got covers and deals from brands like Latina magazine or being part of Latina galas, events, etc. They tried to scrub the info of the net and replace it with her being born in Mallorca when they knew she was from Boston. Another odd thing about her is she named her son, "Eduardo", nicknamed, "Edu". Which is coincidentally the same name as a former bf (Eduardo also nicknamed Edu) she hearts all his IG posts, as in you can check out his IG and she has liked his latest ones too (his IG is : nueves), which I actually think is another interesting aspect to this girl apart from her being a fake Spanish cucumber.

I didn't specify whether I was referring to my biological or my in-law family." Obviously when people say "family" they're referring to their biological relatives and closest in-laws. She's been very evasive in her answers.

I majored in rhetoric (English-written argument) in college, and I’m so glad that you addressed Hillary’s behavior in the way that you did. It’s incredible what happens to people when you call then out on their illogical arguments, especially when you do it online. People like Hillary are desperate to “win” the issue, and when they realize that you’ve seen through their flawed reasoning, they almost always engage in ad hominem or personal attacks. What I found annoying about this Hilaria thing is when she said that she didn't know Alec because in Spain they didn't have a TV. As a Venezuelan girl living in Spain I find this so DISRESPECTFUL, I mean... We DO have TV's in Spain. This is not the third world, people in Spain are WHITE. Period. Also she was not embracing Spanish culture, she was just embracing stereotypes (paella, siesta, flamenco....) and those kids names make no sense in Spain. Eduardo Pau Lucas is not a normal combination of Spanish names. It is not common here to mix Castilian names with the Catalan ones. Everything with her is so fucked up....

I was guilty of doing this at a very young age. I said I was from Scotland. England. Different lie every year in grade school. It was just a way to appear interesting so I could finally make friends. It sucks because now in my 20’s I love being a weird girl from Jersey. Lesson learned. I now embrace authenticity.💜

I’m chilean and I just wanted to point out that she didn’t even spell her child’s name correctly like spanish people do 😂😂I’m referring to Rafael Thomas because spanish speaking people don’t use the “th” sound so the correct way would actually be Rafael Tomás (and it is a common name so believe me when I say I know how to spell it right). Im so confused because on social platforms y’all commend women for hustling but then y’all get pissed at women like Meghan. All these women who marry/catch wealthy men play this very game and women seem okay with but when it’s really publicized everybody has a problem. Meghan might be slippery as fuck but that’s how a lot of women get these men. I’m realizing like with most things, people only like the polished result not the dirty work. Now, Hillary went too far but wasn’t Meghan just playing to Harry’s shadow self, which she should. She had her eye on the prize, got it, and secured her position with a baby. That’s how it’s done. @@LoveK1 I guess because afterwards when they catch the prize, marry them and have kids, they kind of become even worse - believing in the lie and trying to convince the world of it too. Meghan comes across as controlling and narcissistic because she wasn't quite clever or patient enough to wait a couple of more years with the Royal Family before running to LA, so her intentions are much more transparent now and a lot of people dislike her for it. But her plan from Deal Or No Deal girl to Duchess is genius, and for that we have to applaud her. And Harry seems happy to have escape the confines of Royal life so good luck to them.

That is actually quite an interesting topic and it also has so many layers! I am from Spain and I agree with you that most of us don't consider ourselves as people of color, we consider ourselves as white. Nonetheless, I actually remember that there was some controversy last year when Antonio Banderas was considered as a person of color by some news outlets after getting his Oscar's nomination for Dolor y Gloria. Also Rosalía has been considered as a latina artist so many times but neither Rosalía nor Antonio Banderas are latinos because they don't come from Latin America. I think Hispanic would be a better word to use in this case.

I remember the Oscar’s nomination, they had to rectify! And yes, I guess they get confused by that and by our languaje since so many people who speak spanish are in fact not white, which is perfectly fine but not to be confused one with another. Being herself spanish as she told us all these years, she should know the difference but it is so obvious she is american... specially saying things like that. Not to be insulting to non Latino people. But I think they’re the only ones that think of Spaniards as POC or non-white. All the Latino ppl I know, consider/know Spaniards are white, unless they have some other outside of Spain ancestry that makes them POC.

I'm writing to you regarding Hilaria Baldwin and my recent attempts to defend her online against merciless attacks and what you call ad hominum arguments slandering every aspect of her character and life. It is like I am back in the Roman empire watching one of the Christians in the Colosseum being torn apart and the spectators giving the thumbs up or thumbs down for her blood. I want a forum, a platform, to air my defense and see you as equal in your debating skills. I was not familiar with your listing of fallacies used in arguments but now recognize every one of them in the replies to my comments defending Hilaria, under Alec Baldwin's posts. My defense is this - we (not one of us) is perfect. And given that 99% of her life is good and admirable, the amount of hatred and demonizing of this woman is unconscionable and reprehensible. She is a hard-working entrepreneur, a mother of five children one of whom is only three months old. She has built an online Instagram community of close to 900,000 women sharing parenting advice and tips on health, wellness, fitness and nutrition. I have followed her for eight years and she is the reason I was able to lose 30 lbs in the last two years thanks to her "found moments" concept of exercise for busy mothers. She is also a very hands-on and devoted mother, getting up at 6:00 AM to cook breakfast for her kids and get them ready for school. From all apparent observation, any "help" she employs is for household chores and she is almost 100% hands on with raising her children herself. Now to the Spanish issue. It is unfair not to present the fact that there are tweets and posts going back 9 years where she clearly states she was born in Boston, and that she spent her childhood partially in both countries. This is true. Her father's blogs and her grandfather's bio both state that "Spanish culture has greatly influenced my lifestyle." This is not just a case of being bi-lingual, this is someone who was raised bi-culturally in her home and who traveled to Spain as a child with her parents. Her parents and her brother have left everything her in the US and now own property and live in Spain as of 2011. Here is Hilaria, who the same year(2011) started using "Hilaria" and in her online explanation, she says she grew more confident in becoming her 'authentic self" and living a life around the Spanish culture. Lets go back and I'll repeat - there are tweets from 2011 and 2012 where she says publicly online on Twitter, I was born in Boston but spent a lot of my childhood in Spain and Massachusetts." If she now wants to live as a Spaniard, if that is who she identifies as, especially given her upbringing and the fact that her entire nuclear family now calls Spain their home, then why is that wrong? You presented in your video that she "chose exotic Majorca as if she pulled it out of a hat - NO, that is where her family has lived for the last ten years. She lied you say? Well I will call it "not clarifying" and riding the wave of media publicity around her bi-cultural lifestyle, something that began years before she met Alec. High school teachers say she was a "phenominal latin dancer on the school dance team." If she was trying to fool anyone, would she have called her life bi-cultural rather than saying I AM Spanish, which she has never done? If she meant to devise this con from the start and deceive Alec, would she have tweeted in 2011 and 2012 that she was "born in Boston and spent part of her childhood in both countries?" Where is the empathy, the sympathy, the tolerance, for mistakes? Someone who is described by family, friends, her former high school classmates and teachers, and other entertainment hosts as "kind" and "gentle" should be ripped apart and her life destroyed? Because she is fallible? Because she made a mistake of not clarifying the reason for her Spanish lifestyle? She did not culturally appropriate anything. She chose a lifestyle based on her bi-cultural upbringing. She has a right to choose the culture she identifies with - and many people do the same thing by actually moving to another country (as her family has one) to apply for dual citizenship. It is an international right (look it up.) Should she have intimated that she is "from Spain"? NO. But it was perhaps easier than the long explanation of her very different childhood. Should her entire life be destroyed and ripped apart because of it? NO. I found your own presentation sensational and exaggerated including the mockery of her accent. She is after all bi-lingual since childhood, and I have seen many Hispanics say she is flawless in her language both written and spoken (Hispanic women in her online community on Instagram, over the eight years I have followed her.) If they want to cast stones, then first they should make certain they are free from sin. I’m glad to hear Hilaria helped you lose 30 pounds that is so awesome. I'm absolutely disgusted someone would do a sponsored post while at their D&C. I had a miscarriage and had to have one a few weeks ago, after trying to get pregnant for 8 years, and even today I still woke up crying. What a terrible person and I don't normally think black and white, but if the shoe fits... Also, I'm a dual national. Born in the UK but spent my entire life is Australia before moving back to the UK as an adult. I TELL PEOPLE THAT IF IT EVER COMES UP! but I don't tell everyone I ever meet while walking around with tim tams and a kangaroo to erase my British nationality 😂

Got a similar situation in my family. Alec wants a pretty young wife, she locked him up with 5 kids and now they're literally and figuratively in bed together. That's how he couldn't "see" her psychosis - it would be too painful to his own ego 🤪
