    new member, I stumbled upon your XP ute resto (blue) and your channel is pretty cool. currently watching the "car restorations" playlist, and found the gutter repair on the patrol particularly interesting, as i have a mazda van that needs at least the roof corners repaired that may be similar in layers also.

    Hey mate recently found your channel and you are doing some very good instructional content. Just a thought with that shed vibration- if you have a bit of left over CarBuilders sound deadener or aimilar lying around you can stick that on the offending panels in the area you think is the worst culprit and it will dull the sound right down and get rid of that high frequency vibration I reckon. Might be worth a try. Cheers mate

    Welcome Ryan! Thanks mate, thanks for finding TMC, that's a bloody good idea mate 💡, I think its the flashing flaps between the pop rivets haha, but I'll keep that in mind and thank you, cheers 🍻

    I'm new to your channel I prefer talking then some crappy music play really loud but that's just my personal opinion. Sometimes people want these late at night and they keep turning the sound up and down so that I wake their family up just a tip for you, cheers Graham

    Welcome to TMC Graham, glad you are here! I appreciate the feedback about the commentary and music, it is my "pet hate" too having to turn down music and back up for voice! i try to eliminate most loud noises but ill do further checks before i release to make sure, but i think overall most feedback has been that everyone like the talking too! so that's great, ill incorporate it more into my channel. thanks for the comment and joining TMC mate 🍻 ~Twisty

    Is it true that you have to overlap the repair section to existing in Australia

  • @TwistedMetalCustoms
    @TwistedMetalCustoms15 күн бұрын

    Hi Lyel, I think it's depending on state to state, I know WHEN you do an overlap repair it needs to be a certain lap amount (15mm??) But not 100% sure depending on what state. Maybe it's talking about if you are replacing whole sections that uses the spot welds and lap joins on all sides. I am not doing lap joins, terrible for future rust, I'll just go through engineering if need be to get it signed off in worst case. (Or do the repair well enough so it's not noticeable haha)

    I am running the same engine in my 92 Fairlane . Those oxygen sensors play a big part when its fully computerised. Air filter tube came loose once and it became undrivable. Would start and rev fine , but soon as it went into gear would die. Had me puzzled for a few days , didnt actually notice until the thing fell off completely.

  • @TwistedMetalCustoms
    @TwistedMetalCustomsАй бұрын

    Nice Bruce! I'm still yet to put my 2 X o2 sensors in mine, I got the rest in now... but having issues with oil pressure and water temp.. not showing anything, even after I replaced the sensors , got me puzzled

  • @bruceaskin9645
    @bruceaskin9645Ай бұрын

    @@TwistedMetalCustoms Speaking of pressure , mine kept building up crankcase pressure. Which blew out the sump gasket and was blowing oil through the breather into the throttle body. Turned out to be a clogged filter below the PCV. It is now removed altogether. Made a video about it.kzread.info/dash/bejne/jH2mz8FwobG1p7A.htmlsi=TLbpvU-rIBl_cet8.

    In my opinion, Keep up with the rust / body work videos mate, Maybe throw up some short videos doing minor work on your other projects, but it’ll mean more time filming and editing. One thing I do when welding a large piece in is to brace it on the back of the job .... for example, using a scissor jack and a thick flat piece of steel to push the two pieces out. Keen to see the Barra up and running, also the jailbar Cheers mouse
