As halfass customs would say at the end of the day it's only metal, and with a wee bit of time and effort it can be fixed and like you say its a charger. I had a mate who's dad was the president of the valiant club in Christchurch back in the day and his dad gave him one of these for his 25th birthday.......lucky guy, it had had a full resto beautiful cars and well worth it when your cruising down the road in it with a big smile on your face .

Well I expected a lot worse. At least it's just rust and not bad repairs over rust. That can be a lot more disheartening. I look forward to watching it progress 👍

yeah this is true, it has only a few previous repairs luckily, but just a lot of sections that need to be replaced, as you said i would much rather repair un-tampered with rust sections so thats a win! cheers mate, glad to have your support 🍻

She’s your dream car, So rust work doesn’t matter, I’ve got a xc h/top which is rusty as , but being my dream car I’ll get through it slowly and be smiling the whole time haha!!

Absolutely 💯, nah you are better off blasting it at least we know we got all the rust out then hey, I reckon I'd feel worse not doing it and having rust Come through after all the hard work 😅 , cheers nick I appreciate it 👍

Use Automotive panel craft or plum krazy garage , not sure if rare spares do sections for valiants

NO joke i have seen a lot worst back in the 90's on these .. It's bad but looks like it's just outer panels but for the boot floor there always gone boot floors.. I remember trying to find one around 1996 and every one was worst then what you got there !!!.. I think you do a great job on this :)

Haha nah it wasn't that bad, it was 60/40 mesh I think, worked good enough for me at mates rates 😄

@@Brooksyscarrestorations haha yeah I figured it was a joke, but it could have been finer grit, but I wasn't going to argue with the price, he is really good with it, doesn't get heat in at all when he blasts too which is great, but yeah man I'm super excited in getting stuck Into a project I'm going to keep, everything else was to flip, so keen to put the extra hard yards in, how's your project going?
