Hahaha yeah exactly!!

If your top loader is hard to change it’s the slides in the shifter. I rebuilt mine by welding the faces and filling them to size, and it selected gears perfect again give that a try

Hmm, this is possible too, I think it had the heater hose running through the gas mixer to warm it up, maybe it was still too cold at that stage 🤔

I couldn't work out compression just with the compression gague, but it was all around 125psi mate
