About us?
We aim to show you what we know! helping the "average Joe" complete their very own project, step by step. Knowledge sharing !
Here at TMC we love to SAVE and work on classic cars, which include Valiant Chargers, Holden commodore, Ford Fairlane & falcon, even JDM stuff like Toyota Corolla, Daihatsu, lancer, Silvia, skyline, 240sx, Silvia and Celica! And what else we can get our hands on!
We are trying to save what ever we can, I've owned a Ford XB coupe, I currently own a XW XY falcon too, all have big plans to come... We have engine swaps coming, like the 440BB, 360 dodge block, and even a 5.7 Hemi that's going into my VJ charger!
so stick around and give us a Sub to follow along and ill try to teach you what i know in DIY style for the everyday home car builder! We will show Rust repair, spray painting, body work, and general restoration tips as we go!
thanks for your time! Cheers 🍻✌

I brought a cheap plastic welder / hot staple thingo off eBay that would have worked a treat on this dash.

@@TwistedMetalCustoms sorry I should have been clearer. I’ve used it on other plastic repair and think that it would have worked for you in what you were doing.

Spray the adhesive on both surfaces when its stringy fit and smooth out i tried to repair hood lining using the same product as you it failed because i only applied it to the pressed cardboard not the material wasnt long the material sagged again too another idea not relevant to this video any damaged door cards with the Masonite back if there split or clip holes chewed out my father would soak a strip of CHUX cleaning cloths red or blue colour in fibreglass resin then lay flat over repair feather out the resin flat the resin soaks in well to the Masonite you can redrill out the hole for the clip also for splits the repair is thin so the door card or trim don't bulge on fitment did it on an old XB falcon door card years ago

Hey Russ! thanks for the info mate!! i applied it to both surfaces on this dash but i think i didn't apply enough as i only had 1 can and i was being stingy hahaha.. but that's a great idea with the chux cloths! good one, cheers for the comment mate 🍻

Great vid man...love a fellow Aussie having a crack...its all about saving some dollars... Good job on your first time out with the vinyl, as you found out, good adhesive and patience is key. Nice garage by the way , early Commo, Charger and a coupe!! Guess the soldering iron burn is better than the brown snake mate...thats gonna hurt like a bastard for a while too...I just subbed, Im out from Brisbane and trying to get motivated to get my channel going with my Barracuda

i actually ran out of glue at the end of this video, and by the time i came back to it a few weeks later i decided to take it off and do some customisation to the dash haha.. the 2nd time i ended up using Raptor coat thinned down and it came up awesome, great factory texture, ill try to do another dash with raptor and record it for you 🍻
