I had some good results with my standard 0.4mm nozzle, but i wasn’t happy enough with the details and thought a 0.2mm nozzle could help. It was a bit better, but not much, so now i’m looking for better settings. Would the settings be different if i have a 0.2mm nozzle? If these settings work on my ender 5 pro, I’ll definitely buy some stl’s to support you.
hey man - love your presentation style :) thanks for your video.
Thank you for the video! It was great. I wanted to know which if the printer Creality Ender 3 v2 is still a good choice to buy, or if i have to upgrade. Thank u!
To be honest, the fact that Warhammer players will buy a professional piece of equipment, learn how to use it from ground up and how to sculpt in 3d softwares just to not pay these ridiculous prices really tells you how fucking corrupt GW is.
Jo my men we miss you and your videos lots of new things to do discus and cover get back in the game m8. Hope your well would love to see something new of you again it has bin to long
I find comparing a free music program to a slightly cheaper expensive hobby that replaces another expensive hobby to be a poor choice of comparison.
Where's Danny??? We miss you dude... 😭
The same kind of people who 3d print are the same kind who pirate movies, they simply wouldn't have it without the cheaper option.
if there was any WH 40 k community lol
It might be illegal, but, printing a model that GW refuses to make and sell itself is not a morally wrong thing to do.
If only exposure time was the key to great prints, all these these prints are meaningless if you are not controlling all your other variables. Ambient temp leads to more fails than exposure time. For me its Cones of Calibration every time with a new resin as 90% of my prints are pre-supported patreon/MMF prints
would love to see an updated version of this with the latest ender 3 v3 and bambu A1
If you haven’t, you should do an update on this topic
I want to buy an A1 ( my first 3d printer) after watching one of your videos however My family ( wife and 12y son) is very sensitive to smells, chemical vapors, allergens, and micro particles in the air. I live in TX and the relative humidity inside on my house is 60% and outside is about 70% to 90%. Do you know any health issues that result from melting the filaments on the 3D printer ( smells, VOC, microparticles) ? I hope you can comment. Thanks Alex
>Gw: makes lore >Lore states: since the 1st 10 there were men >Gw: wants a movie very much So goes to Amazon. >Rumors of a Deal that happens that makes gw retcon the whole fanbase by saying out of nowhere without no real explanation into the lore through twitter, just a lazy "since the 1st 10,000 there were Always female custodes" >After the loyal fans who were actually doing the hobby And paying money departed And boycotted, gw decides to double Down And change more lore. The woke truly awakens and the it goes Down Hill from there. >Warhammer+ subscriptions plummit And So on So Forth. Those who payed attention through out like these 2-3 last weeks know.
No way in hell I would pay that much money for even 3d printed figures
I will use FDM
Dude 7:30 intro is too much
Like you repeated yourself so many times that could have easily been cut down into one minute
Print everything. Print you friends armies
the thing about "pirating" is that GW is not actually missing out on any money, these people were not going to give gw their money in the first place, its like pirating movies or tv shows, these people were not going to give you any money in the first place so its not even a lost sale or missed revenue
I'm not sure if this video is still valid, but I'd love to get into 3d printing & I spent the last 2 days watching videos about it. The problem is I still have no idea what printer to get. I'm very much into 1/24 & 1/18 RC stuff & would love to print my own bodies & all the stuff that goes with it. Got a budget of around $500 but there's soooo many different ones & don't want to buy one that is only recommended due to them sponsoring a video or giving the creator a freebie for a good review 🤔
Greetings, I'm fairly new to 3D printing and I have tried the flat test, but I appreciate the information provided and the different options you've provided. I will be trying a couple of these...
its 2024, I just started printing terrain and I found Openlock first, so far I am happz but after seeing this video I am a bit concerned that I choose something outdated and not future proof.
Games Workshop deserves to be shutdown
For those of use finding this 4 years later, he has a patrion with all of this work in one place!
actually,... his name (Siepie) is pronounced: SeePee :-)
Paintability and detail is entirely dependent on the model, both for shop bought and printed. For variety and price? 3d printing blows shop bought out of the water every single time. For the price of one warhammer army you can buy a printer, 3 armies worth of STLs and print them all. The only this shop bought wins out on is convienience due to how awkward it is to get into and set up resin printing
Think ill go burrrrr with a 3D printer
Does anyone know if danny is okay?
/rant start As far as 40k goes... They needed to make them at the appropriate equivalent scale from the beginning, but we all know that it really was not possible or cost efficient at that time. These days though it is and I truly wish they had just increased the "regular" Space Marines size to that of "the Primaris marines," without having to justify it with weak fitting "lore", as that size is what they were supposed to be compared to a "standard human". /rant over As for scales, for me it depends on the game and the types of scenarios I am running or playing in.
3:40 Are bigger minis inherently more expensive? I would guess barely.
This are not printing tips... this are just like your goals and ideas with the prints... I thought you would share configurations and settings.
Sickly expensive miniatures that increase in price every year coupled with rubbish rules sets that change with the phases of the Moon. Sorry but they are the elitist artists that can't develop a lasting ruleset!
If anything, 3D printing is making Warhammer more popular. People might buy a resin printer thinking it's an affordable way to get into warhammer, but then after printing a few models they realize they might as well buy the official stuff. And really, I think if you're going to print an entire army, you might as well try to make your own original designs and make your own original homebrew game.
Which one creates the STRONGEST end product? Like which one makes prints that are most durable?
Any idea if these settings will work with Prusa Mini? Can anyone comment on trying that?
4:01 gold😂😂
I think that you are trying to say that you should do the homework first before getting a 3d printer, especially if it is bought from… duh, duh, duuuuuh…. “AMAZON”!
Can the elegoo mars 2 pro print color
I bought my 3D printer and like 4 liters of resin, as well as paints, an airbrush, IPA, a cleaner machine and all the supplies for that for about $500. I now have a 2000+ point Death Korp army, that would have cost me, at minimum, $3500. GW can go fuck themselves.
YES!!! I have scaled up to I think 1:35 scale. Or there abouts. Unfortunately it is the most common for model military vehicles- so purchasing at the scale can be frustrating for anything fantasy. (husband has a 3d printer luckily.) This scale still works with a lot of the terrain supplies still, but also makes scratch bashing/building easier for diorama's. I do think it a little odd that there isn't more overlap or companies serving not only the ttrpg community, but diorama-ists, and doll house makers. We are all doing the same things, just at slightly different scales. I just think with more competition (which tends to bring cheaper prices) could open up more people into the communities- regardless of purpose of the project (ttrpg, versus art, etc.). I am in favor of sizing up. I already have.
What is the model at 00:45?
Omg how your fdm print so detailed
So my question would be I want to build a enclosed bike so think of model car kits with all them little pieces what would u recommend as a first time user I'm leaning twords the resin printer however I am open to opinions I would like my prints to be about the same size as a model car if that gives a better image I really don't see myself making much bigger than that however I'm sure if I do I can print in sections and just glue them together what's ur thoughts on that as well
I know this video is old, but what you need is Prusaslicer paint on organic supports. You won't go back. 👌
for big pieces of natural terrain, there is no better whay than scratch building, but for smaller items and buildings, 3d printing is still berst way imho . but then again, im down to 1/300 and its hard to DIY quality buildings (esp sci fi ones) without printers. i do keep my base terrain scratch built (love how one can make caves, canyons, hills, large natural obstacles and features pretty fast and easy).
I usually try to use 1/3 to 1/2 parts from GW for my armies. But to be honest. It's really cutting in my budgeds. And to be fair, GWs models are often not particularly interesting to work with if I didn't had all these bits and 3rd party sets to kitbash with. As many people pointed out GW did that to themselves with unreadonable price stacking and frankly rather boring models for some things.
I have watched and re-watched this so many times. Wish I could give it more than one like :) Thanks!
Oh my god...ok now i need to find those TTS custodes models and make a tts custodes army...because OMG...YES. Is there the dreadnaught? The one with the luscious locks...and the oiled everything.... That makes the mechanicus unnnnnnnf? 😂
Plastic, unless youre buying literally hundreds of pounds of it, doesnt cost over 100 bucks. Injection molded plastic isnt significantly more expensive than the raw material, especially once you have the mold done...the most expensive part overall. You REALLY want to stick it to them, make molds of their sheets of parts and injection mold your own full trays for you and your friends. Also...if your resin model costs you 1400 dollars for 7 kgs, youre overpaying by 1300 dollars or more. Also...frankly, my armigers and knights look better, pre-paint, than GW'S DO. A LOT better. 😂 Synonymous with quality? Hah! My resin is better than their resin! When i do my admech army you can bet damn sure its gonna be resin printed. Am i gonna play in gw tournaments? No. Ill just hope those greedy bastards lose so much money that they either fix their prices and i dont need to print anymore. Also...battlefleet gothic is godlike and i ❤ it. Should still be popular damnit...
