This story and journey is told so well! I want this on my shelf! I'm honored you got my cute overbite dino card and turned it into this. Though I'm also curious what you would have digitally kitbashed with that Crafsman card... 🤔

This robo dino is super awesome, but just gotta say thanks so much. I watched your first digital kitbashing video, the one with the gun totting owlbear, and after watching it a few times I dove into doing my own digital kitbashing, and been having fun ever since! I have a little experience with 3d modeling, doing game modding way back in the day, so had a little experience with blender jumping in, but was much like you with the lack of skills in it. That said, the sculpting feature is phenomenal and intuitive! I have found that assembling parts in 3D Builder, the program you used in the previous video, then saving/exporting that as a .obj after some Merging of different meshes makes for a good base to add details to in Blender proper, though you gotta take care about how it decides to calculate new polygons and vertices when doing that. I am do glad I found your vid those months back, and hope you keep making cool, inspiring things Danny!

I watch a lot of crafting but never any 3D printing or digital sculpting stuff so this was super new for me. I was surprised at how interesting and entertaining it was, with its own set of design challenges and creativity. Thank you for opening up a new horizon to me. And your results were awesome and super fun. I love that you could incorporate him into another project you’d already done.

I loved watching your journey though this task, and I always love your content. If you start actually working on gap filling for your prints, if I can make a suggestion, try either Vallejo or Tamiya plastic putty. It's designed specifically for that and it works absolutely wonderful on resin prints. I use it for a lot of gap filling on my prints. Looking forward to seeing more forays into the monster factory!

Love how you are so cool about focusing on the parts that you love, and not need to go for perfection every time. Makes the rest of us hobby nerds stress out less about our own shortcomings. I'm the same way - I can't be bothered to fix every little crooked seam or blemish - I wanna paint the thing and turn it loose on my players. They'll go WOW either way, so why stress out over things that are hard to get right? :)
