Thanks a lot for your fucking insight Mr. "Adaption" Ben, as long as YOU are OK living in your highly RICH "adaptive" western society and fuck the rest? That's what you're saying Ben? I thank GOD that Ben is able to stand strong with this student, that is high learned but his book knowledge didnt teach him common of sense. I bless my grand parents, They were telling me if you go into a house you see no books ,run out you will not learn to much in that house. This young man learned from books to get a diploma but once he is out the classrooms the books has no more value.Than you become concise of the critical thinking of the subject.Student must take more 3:51 time to read books that will give more knowledge. My children has books around, and it help me to trust them not to embarrassed themself, the parebts and the school they attend. Thanks Ben for putting those students on the spotlight. They are the next generations who must work in the future for the development of the country they live in.GOD bless you for your excellent performances. ,and lectures around the country.

Last year I was diagnosed with ADHD, and it explains... a lot. I was never looked at despite my father and brother having it, because very few doctors even acknowledged women could have it. I don't fault them, ADHD generally manifests differently in women. Despite them having it, they never looked into it, and never talked about it. When it came to me... I was top of my class, and schoolwork came easily to me. When I say I struggled though, with follow-through and internal chaos...that would be an understatement. Despite attending university at 15, and learning being a passion of mine- the minute I got out of that structured environment, it was as if I was stuck on standby. I wish I had known at a younger age- (not necessarily been put on medication) but rather, been allowed to understand my brain and the challenges that I would face better. I feel a great sense of loss, for all of the opportunities that I missed out on because of terrible memory and my terrible sense of time. My ADHD is quite severe, and the more I learn about it, the more I realize that just like with Autism it is a spectrum. The only thing that has held my life together has been my intelligence and ability to solve problems at hyper speed. The procrastination, the impulsivity, the dopamine chasing... affects your life in every aspect and I find a lot of people underestimate that. I often get told " well everyone procrastinates, you just have to do the thing". While yes, everyone procrastinates to some degree or another I procrastinate with everything. Things I love, things I don't love. Things I could do in one second. Things I want to do in one second. I always say to that...yes everyone procrastinates, everyone pees too- but if you started peeing 45 times a day, you'd go seek professional help. The problem is, is that you do these things to your own detriment. I had no idea what being able to control my own brain was like, to slow my thoughts down to a speed that I could use toward action... until I took medication. It was like a fog I didn't know was there, cleared right before my eyes. I could think clearly for the first time- ever. It has truly changed my life. Brains are complicated things and medication is not the solution for everyone but it was the solution for me. Cognitive ability wasn't ever the problem- executive functioning was.

Much - perhaps all - of the advancement is due to science and technology. It has been driven by people of genius who generally haven’t considered wealth at all. So it’s difficult to credit capitalism - or socialism, for that matter - with much of the increase in well-being over the last several centuries.

It's so hilarious how everyone acts like Ben 'destroyed' this guy, where this is literally one of the rare instances where Ben has no objective points to make against this guy and just laughed off his point because his stance on killing animals made his stance on killing humans seem ridiculous by comparison. If you were to isolate just needing personal identity and being a human in order to have independent moral value, I think you have a very strong point indeed.

I don’t believe Mr. Peterson answered the question thoroughly. I highly respect his opinions, experience, and thought process on psychological and self-help/awareness advice. One in particular is, “If someone is not listening, stop talking to them,” which I interpret as: if someone seeks my advice but continually returns with the same issues without following through on my recommendations, it is not productive to keep offering the same advice. Regarding his response to the ADHD question, I felt he skirted the issue. During his response, there were numerous pauses and filler words like “umms,” which seemed uncharacteristic compared to his more articulate responses in one-on-one interviews or solo videos. I believe ADHD is a genuine and complex disorder. However, the acronym might not fully encapsulate its breadth. ADHD is often overdiagnosed and is extremely complicated to diagnose accurately. It encompasses a range of psychological disorders, and no two individuals with ADHD are exactly the same. While 95% of individuals with ADHD may share similar traits, the remaining 5% experience unique and significant variations. For example, consider a deck of cards representing the mind of a person with ADHD. The similarities among individuals with ADHD are like the numbers and suits of the cards, representing the 95%. However, the unique shuffle and arrangement of the cards represent the 5%. Just as it would take an astronomical amount of time to duplicate a specific shuffle of a deck, the unique experiences of individuals with ADHD are similarly diverse and complex. If you were to shuffle a deck of cards every second, it would take millions, if not billions, of years to duplicate the same shuffle exactly. I believe my analogy helps illustrate how each person with ADHD has a unique combination of traits, making their experiences highly individualized. People with bipolar disorder, psychopathy, or narcissistic traits exhibit more consistent behavior patterns, making their diagnoses and management, although challenging, comparatively straightforward due to the similarities. However, a person with ADHD often experiences elements of these more easily defined disorders, contributing to the 5% uniqueness. Treatment for ADHD can be managed but only to a limited capacity. There is a ceiling to how much medication and therapy can alleviate symptoms. For treatment, individuals with ADHD might be prescribed stimulants like Adderall, Ritalin, or Concerta, which increase dopamine and norepinephrine levels to help with focus and attention. Additionally, SSRIs or similar medications may be prescribed to manage the 5% of symptoms, such as antisocial behaviors or mood disorders. Despite these treatments, there is no one-size-fits-all solution. Unlike pain relief from surgery, where a painkiller can effectively alleviate discomfort, treating ADHD requires a combination of medications and therapies to address the full spectrum of symptoms…. On that note, I exerted my hyper-focus for the day, soon following an episode of depression, then a uplift of mania and hopefully a mental shut-down to make up for the past 38 hours without sleep.

Criticism of people who are pro-woman and children, and therefore accused of being anti-trans, might equally be applied to those who are pro-trans, and therefore accused of being anti-women and children. Both pro- voices should be heard on campus in a respectful debate. They are different in what they feel they need to speak out about. Pro-trans students can be at least as aggressive and bullying to people who disagree at all with them - therefore pro-trans people also threaten the safety of other students. Transpeople are vulnerable. So too are women who are bullied by big, angry transwomen. The best answer to free speech that you find harmful is more free speech opposing it in an honest rational debate.

The Magna Carta of 1215, cornerstone of British and western democracy was based upon Catholic natural law theory like the US preamble to the constitution which is virtually directly Catholic Natural Law theory. Our rights are God given. The state doesn't own us and is not our "boss". Dr. Hicks seems curiously really remiss in getting actual Medieval history and development of natural rights and science. Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a well-documented neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by clinically significant levels of inattention, disorganization, and/or hyperactivity-impulsivity. This definition is not a matter of subjective opinion but is grounded in a robust body of scientific research conducted by a diverse array of respected professionals across multiple disciplines within mental health. The understanding of ADHD has been developed through decades of rigorous study. These studies encompass various methodologies, including longitudinal studies, neuroimaging research, genetic analyses, and clinical trials. Researchers have consistently found that ADHD has identifiable neurobiological underpinnings, manifesting in observable differences in brain structure and function compared to individuals without the disorder. These differences are not speculative; they are quantifiable and reproducible, demonstrating the reliability of the scientific findings. For instance, neuroimaging studies have shown that individuals with ADHD often have differences in the size and activity of certain brain regions, such as the prefrontal cortex, which is involved in executive functions like planning and impulse control. Genetic studies have identified several genes associated with ADHD, indicating a hereditary component to the disorder. Moreover, clinical trials have repeatedly shown the efficacy of specific interventions, such as stimulant medications and behavioral therapies, in managing symptoms of ADHD, further validating the biological basis of the condition. The scientific consensus on ADHD is built on this extensive research. To argue that ADHD is merely a myth or a social construct without providing equivalent empirical evidence undermines the credibility of such claims. Criticism of the ADHD diagnosis or treatment protocols should adhere to the same rigorous scientific standards employed in the original research. This means conducting well-designed studies, replicating results, and undergoing peer review. Anecdotal evidence or narrative-driven arguments, while valuable in certain contexts, are insufficient to overturn the substantial body of empirical data supporting the existence and understanding of ADHD. Therefore, dismissing ADHD as a social construct or myth without presenting comparable scientific evidence is not only intellectually dishonest but also potentially harmful. It disregards the experiences of those living with ADHD and the extensive work of researchers dedicated to understanding and treating this disorder. To challenge the validity of ADHD, critics must engage with the scientific community through rigorous research, not mere rhetoric. Only through such scholarly efforts can any meaningful critique be constructed, ensuring that the discussion remains grounded in evidence and contributing to the ongoing advancement of mental health knowledge.

Retired physician here, trained in obstetrics/gynecology and pathology. Some who support abortion hold to the ridiculous notions that a fetus is not a baby or that an unborn baby isn’t human until it’s born. Others supporting abortion claim that life only begins when a baby takes its first breath at birth. They cite the Genesis account of God breathing life into the man whom He created. But these people conveniently ignore the fact that God utilized no egg, no sperm, and no womb when He created Adam from dust and Eve from Adam’s rib. Unborn babies, however, are a totally different matter, for they are very much alive in the womb. They develop, move and grow, cardiac motion is detected by ultrasound by five-six weeks, they suck their thumbs, hiccup, and though they receive oxygen and nutrients from the mother via the umbilical cord, they still “breathe” small amounts of amniotic fluid, FOR GOD HAS ALREADY GIVEN THEM LIFE IN THE WOMB. How can unborn babies move and grow, etc., if they are not alive in the womb? Yes, babies take their first breath of AIR when they are born, but they are most definitely ALIVE BEFORE they do so. Life begins at conception. Abortion is the murdering of innocent human life. Jesus does not mention abortion by name in any of His teachings. Therefore, some folks take that to mean that mankind may kill innocent, unborn babies through abortion at will. How utterly absurd! Such people either conveniently ignore or are unfamiliar with the Scripture that states: HANDS THAT SHED INNOCENT BLOOD ARE AN ABOMINATION UNTO GOD (PROVERBS 6:16-17). This passage certainly indicates that those who shed the blood of innocent, unborn babies through abortion, or who condone such heinous acts, are ABOMINATIONS unto God. Pro-choicers often cite Numbers 5 as “evidence” for abortion. In this chapter according to the KJV, the priest conducts a ritual to test for adultery, whereby a guilty woman is cursed: “The LORD make thee a curse and an oath among thy people, when the LORD doth make thy thigh to rot, and thy belly to swell” (v. 21). Neither pregnancy nor abortion are specifically mentioned. On the other hand, the NIV implies miscarriage: “may the LORD cause you to become a curse among your people when he makes your womb miscarry and your abdomen swell.” It is God Who causes the miscarriage, not man. The passage DOES NOT grant mankind permission to perform abortions. Pro-choicers also quote Hosea 13:16 as “evidence” for abortion. This passage describes the punishment that Samaria will suffer for rebelling against God: "they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up" (KJV). God destroyed the infants along with the adults, because He knew that when the infants grew to adulthood, they would be just as rebellious as their parents; in God's sight, those infants were not innocent. God would have none of that, so He destroyed them all, regardless of age. Harsh? Yes, but God is sovereign and holy and must be obeyed. As the Creator, God gives life and takes away life as He chooses. The Scripture said: "the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD" (Job 1:21b KJV). That DOES NOT mean we may take away life any time that suits us. We have NO permission from God to abort unwanted, unborn babies at will. Therefore, the passage above in Hosea has nothing to do with abortion. DO NOT apply human thoughts and actions to God. As God says, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts" (Isaiah 55:8-9 KJV).

It will be a few hour cosy rumbling moment around rest time, but afterwards its just calm and you feel amazing and gain your freedom. Psilocybin is different dudes, its the only "treatment" I would recommend to someone who genuinely wants to get better. There is no addiction, withdrawal, or negative side effects.
