AC cinematics never disappoint, sure would've been nice to have followed it with a 20 minute gameplay video actually showing the game. Hopefully the AI and gameplay actually delivers like they say

I think what Luke fails to mention or grasp is that the reason the male protagonist race is an issue is not because it isn't historically accurate but that it is manipulating history to push their ESG score and get funding that way. I'm sure he knows this is what's going on but he focuses on the ignorant comments of historical accuracy when what's really angering players is that it feels like a corpo suit was in a meeting with developers and said "make the protagonist black" and the devs said "...but this is set in feudal japan..." and the corpo slams on the table and says "then find a historical figure that fits this description and make him the protagonist!" it's just very immersion breaking to go this route when it is blatantly only for DEI investors than for storyline. I wish Luke would admit that it feels like that's what's going on because this just feels like he's scared of losing access to early copies so he'd rather not report on it.

right...the thing is, there isn't a single eng out there that do what they did in Fallout 4 (like killing a NPC and looting what it was wearing), for example, and in that regards Starfield manage to be worst than the older games of the Creation eng.

The amount of racism is crazzzzy. "The big black guy can't be stealthy" - he's not the stealth focused assassin character 🤦🏾‍♂️. "The black guy wasn't a samurai", nor Ezio, Edward, Connor, or any other AC protagonist an actual assassin

What AC used to do was keep it as close to history as they could with regards to the historical figures. The assassination targets in older games were generally in line with their actual reported time of death and their personalities matched with historical records to the extent possible, whereas the player was a made up character since they're an unknown assassin. This game using a historical figure as a samurai protagonist annoys me because not much was known about him and what was known about him is that he wasn't a samurai. I get the Isu storyline isn't grounded, but the rest is what I liked. The Isu stuff is what ruined the newer games for me. Meeting Pythagoras 200 years after his death in Odyssey was stupid and having the protag from odyssey meet layla in the present was even more stupid. I did try Valhalla out and was so annoyed by the terrible voice acting and animations along with the contempt built up by odyssey that I quickly uninstalled it. I watched your 3 hour breakdown of it and was glad I decided not to play it. Looking forward to seeing Shadow's analysis. The dynamic systems you described sounded incredible and if it's worth it I might get the game just for that and I'll ignore the title of the game.

13:05 - the solution is to wait 2-3 years and buy it on sale. By then, the game will also be fully playable, with all the DLCs released and the bugs fixed. I'm doing this for more than 10y and that's why I have 0 hate towards Ubi, as a game publisher. I do hate Ubi for the woke part, though! 🙄

Its simple why they are doing it, 17.99x12 is 215.88 - this is a scummy and predatory strategy we should really push back against because it prays on the ones who will forget and clearly these publishers have crunched the numbers enough to see capital

If the game full of stealth mechanics as explained by Luke it will be dope. Seasons may bring awesome replayability so it will be pretty fun to assault the same location more than once. RPG combat with Yousuke sounds good for me. Please Ubisoft, don't link store skins with cool abilities. (Valhalla had gameplay tied to skins) I really hope they increase the difficulty of the game overall (optional) as the rest were pretty easy.

Hmm so what I am getting out of this survey is that, Starfield can potentially be fixed but not at the current level of PCs and Consoles. Take for example the loading screens. If the data needs to not be re-loaded every single time for the loading screens to disappear but that would overload the hardware with data to remember all at once, logically you would need much stronger hardware that could handle it right? But that is very subjective because we can't compare a console to a high-end PC. And who knows how powerful you need the hardware to be in order for this game to be fully fixed. It could be that by the time we have such powerful hardware, Starfield would be long dead. And that's probably why most say it can't be fixed. In theory it can, but it would take waaay too much time and resources. A shame really. Personally I think outside of technical issue the game is generally fun. I have like 700+ hours into it. However it did fail to live up to the hype and some of the promises they made.

Maybe I am showing my age here but why is everyone freaking out about trailers without gameplay? I've only ever bought a handful of games where I've seen gameplay first. It just, never used to be a thing! You got the promo stuff, the hype and then you bought the game and if you didn't like it well...who cares? You just, didn't like it. It's a game! The developers don't owe you anything, it's not their fault you don't like it! I personally adore pretty much every AC game apart from Origins and I'm really looking forward to playing this.

Its the same game released for years now, on a different map, with slightly different ways (for the franchise that is) to achieve the same end result. Assassin's Creed is the prime example of me losing complete desire in gaming. Everything that could be done, has been done so now its just a reskin...you just cannot reinvent the wheel anymore. But then again that can be said about pretty much every entertainment or hobby. Literally everything has been done already, any movie plot, any game mechanic. Want combat? Its been done. Stealth? Its been done. Wanna drive, fish, craft, swim, fly, eat, camp, survive, etc? Multiple protagonists? Its all been done. For example i got my hands on Red Dead Redemption 2 really late, like a year ago, and i uninstalled it after a few hours because nothing grips me anymore and its supposed to be a masterpiece of a game. Gaming has nothing to offer me, and even movies or music barely do. Gone are the days of discovery and awe when the systems that guide todays entertainment were in their infancies and things felt genuinly new. Its kinda sad and daunting to me personally, maybe i just matured out of it all. I only watch your content because the videos are well put together and for nostalgic reasons related to the first AC games.

I feel like if you don’t have enough money to afford wifi, why are you spending money on a game? Couldn’t you invest that money into wifi service and get that value back in free to play games? In this day and age, wifi is rather a necessity than a luxury like it used to be. I don’t understand how some folks are complaining about not having wifi to activate a license but… they’re posting about it online? Like if ur using a phone you can use a hotspot for the patch, etc. there are plenty of options I just don’t get the complaint. I’ve never played games without a wifi connection since 2008. Seems like a really off complaint.

Here we go agin, another Gen Z KZreadr with his opinion! If you dont like it, just don't buy it, it's that simple! I don't care if the standard edition is $120, because if you can afford a Pc that cost $2000, then you should also be able to pay up for the Games that you play! I think the new standrd price should be $100 instead of $70. If you can't afford it, then do somthing else with your life.
