I'm happier with a relaunch than a remake, considering ea battlefronts, problably this game with modern graphics wouldn't sub on Split screen, i mean ea battlefront 2 coudn't support it for conquest maps, imagine for galactic conquest or instant action on this games proportions, and i'm talking that ps5 can't handle Split screen in such a big game, nas ps2 totaly could back in the day. You shouldn't be claiming its not remastered at all when it literally is and was part of the marketing. New textures and lighting and the 64 bit client is a huge upgrade tech wise. Modding is going to be far better (the same way it improved when skyrim went 64-bit). They also improved the smoothness of gameplay as many testers confirmed.

Or single player, people have been complaining about fps drops for online, I just ran through battlefront 1 single player and the only issues ive noticed so far, is the lame textures on the distant waterfall in the naboo plains, sometimes Ill spawn and wont be able to move forward right away from some reason on Naboo city and of course they changed the iconic planet loading screen sound and are using a lazy version of it.

It really pisses me off knowing all EA had to do was literally finish Free Radical's cancelled SWBF3 and they would have been set and everyone would have been happy. But instead we got a SW game drought and insane loot box backlash. I really hope Aspyr won't abandon this after launch with updates like patches and stuff. I mean I would also love it if they ported over maps from Renegade Squadron and Elite Squadron as dlc, but that's probably not going to happen. I also would love to see workshop support or mod support in general and cross platform multiplayer bc let's face it, we all know this game will need it, especially the Switch version

It's a little confusing why the perception/stigma is that EA made "only 2 Star Wars games." There were 5 & a cancelled game. If you compare that to Spiderman games or other IPs, that's about in-line. Edit: 6 if we're counting the MMORPG, which I wasn't really since that was before the deal..

You're calling this "literally unplayable" when you can literally play it, you're just throwing a tantrum over a load screen. If your favorite load screen being switched makes the game unplayable to you, then you were not going to like it no matter what.

The originals were better, not inverted controls, SP end cutscenes not in it, matches last way too short, barely any quality life improvements, servers are dogshit. Also my theory as to why millions loved the Classic games is because 100% of their content was available offline, so that when the servers shut down there was no loss of experience. As well, DLC didn’t take up nearly half the content offering (BF2015), nor did it lose nearly everything going over to its successor (BF2017). I just hope the public loves it and isn’t too cynical. This needs to send a strong message to EA/DICE/Disney.

It was also enjoyed because of the time period it came out in. Multiplayer in a huge map with vehicles was very rare back then. Trying to find a FPS with vehicles was like a holy grail thing for awhile, and if you did want it there was only 1 or 2 games being actively played and they were almost always a Battlefield release.

Re visited the old battlefront 2 a while ago on my own, god this game is still anazing. Calling NPCs to form a squad, reward weapons, vehicle weak points, and the mmmmmm story mode It is trully a classic and I am very happy more people will try it out now

You wanna know a truly broken hero on a specific map? Play as Darth Maul in... Polas Massa I think? It's the medical facility on an asteroid. The map is relatively small and has very tight corridors, and since "hero" characters only recover health when they get a kill, and thanks to Maul's double bladed saber and quick attacks in the tight confined spaces, he absolutely SHREDS enemies and very rarely dies because he's constantly killing. My brother and I used to play that map with Maul alllll the time to see how long and how massive a killing spree we could go on before getting killed. Such simple gameplay but such a blast. Can't wait to play this again.

This was the first game I properly got into and enjoyed, I remember playing it everyday on the ps2 even after my older brother brought a ps3. Nothing came close and years later when I built my first pc, i brought the games again and played hundreds of hours both modded and unmodded again. I really hope the modding community can transfer over easily and the multiplayer stays alive because no matter how old this game gets - it's just so infinitely replayable

Single player is completely fine and runs really well, apart from the campaign cutscenes and ship controls. Its the multiplayer that is pretty unstable at the moment. I suggest wait until they actually fix it. (If they fix it).

Needs to be remastered. Looks better than the original tho.

The modding community is going to go crazy with this rerelease, and that is the best part. If you look at other classic star wars games like Empire at War, the modding community practically makes entire game size mods in these games. THAT is going to be the best part.

I totally agree. People talk about how that game was barebones or lacking but it really had a good concept. If they just polished it and put in some more effort with the combat it could be a great game. I also loved playing the good and evil campaigns as a kid.

Thats the state of AAA gaming now, re releases of 20 year old games and remakes. Bought it once, buy again and in 20 years again. Amazing. No crossplay, no crossplay with the order version on steam. Amazing

Yup sad times really...brushed up my ps2 just recently....and was just amazed how games made 20 years ago put games made today to shame...

For a while now, I've really wanted to go back to - Star Wars gaming franchise. Now, I finally have a reason to deep dive again into one of my beloved universe.

There is cross play but not between this collection and the Steam BF games that have been out for a long time. Correct me if I’m wrong

Ok I need a explanation. I bought battlefront 2 for like 3€ literally a couple days before the announcement of this classic version of both games. I thought this will look a bit different or stößt something would be different like the menu, but there is no difference for me right now. Why spend 30€ when Incan have this game for 3€??

Is there a galactic conquest mode but multiplayer ? Or maybe I could play with a second person on a different platform

This remaster is getting flamed for its poor server performance, but as someone who exclusively plays singleplayer games and hates other people, I’m really enjoying the singleplayer experience.

A solid single player experience should not cost you $30 tho. The original Battlefront games can be played on Xbox for $10 and are still just as good as they were back then

@@Eva01-jy2qu7pu9r I’ve since refunded the collection and got the originals after hearing that Aspyr removed the cutscenes that play post-mission. Also the AI in the collection is far worse than the original, I’m noticing that they are now moving more and dodging projectiles. They somehow managed to mess up even the singleplayer.

Love how Luke had to edit in “single player” to the title and thumbnail to make him self seem like less of a moron, should honestly just delete this entire video

I already have the original games on the OG Xbox... Is there any benefit to getting the remastered versions?

Is it just me or is the multiplayer really laggy? Lile my shots dont connect to the enemy players

I pre-ordered on ps5. Battlefront 2 was a huge part of my childhood and now my son will get to experience it as well.

If you have the cash get a used series S and the game for $240ish and sell the console once your done with it. Sucks you have to buy the game again and can't resell a digital game.

I feel your pain, like every single one of my friends I still talk to all play on console. It makes this modern gaming trend of making games always online co op only very boring and depressing. I'd love to have a group to play vermintide 2 or remnant from the ashes with.

Worth noting that there are sone visual improvements outside of higher resolutions, there are some new lighting effects, bump maps and reflective surfaces on some maps mainly on Corrusant and Kashyk

These games are still better looking and definitely more fun to play than Gollum or Kong, maybe even the day before lol
