You could get a piece of broom handle, drill a hole and sand it to size with a drill or something. See if your local library or some other organisation has a 3D printer. My $149 3D printer has more than paid itself off with all of the useful things I've repaired or made, so it was money well spent.

If I done have a 3d printer (I don’t), I would use a drill attachment (cheap at harborfreight) for sanding. What if it’s the wrong size? Rewind it with same gauge wire but get as many turns as possible , two three . I havea 240 v model worked on very thin nick3l strip but not so good on the thicker stuff. I rewired it by adding more wire to the supplied winding .vids show how its done . Works verh well now on 60% . Only way to undo welds is tear the metal or grind it off. One of the big problems in UK winters is that the propane evaporates first leaving, at half weight, mainly butane which doesn't evaporate quickly enough to give a significant flame. I figure if I refill at that point back to just below the original weight it should allow more of the contents to be used without exceeding the original pressure significantly. Probably the next refill should be back to 3/4 weight, then 1/2 weight. That canister can then be saved for summer use.

Have a look at a gas temperature/pressure chart. The issue is if somebody leaves this in a hot car, you will get 4x the vapor pressure of butane in a hot car... ...saying this as a person that has done this experiment. Try a 30/70 mix. Chuck in ~70g of propane and 150g of butane. You'll still get great performance without the crazy pressure. Cheers!

@@FixTechStuff just successfully fixed a keyboard with your shimming method - one of the keys was way too sensitive - works normally now thanks again :)
@@Keysbored That’s fantastic! Glad to be of help.
Thx just reached the same conclusion with my VQ, your video good confirmation
wow that's way off.. surely the soldering iron is at least 200C :( I'm disappointed I hoped it would be more competent
I wouldn't say it's off, but 200C is out of its 0 C to 80 C range. I think for the price and most purposes it is adequate, certainly for what I use it for.
@@FixTechStuff well as long as the values below 100 are accurate then I think I'll buy one but 150C max would be great as lots of ICs have the max operational temperature set at about 90-100C so for these ICs such as power regulators this sensor would be pretty useless
Great video! No bs, directly to the point, with every information you need to solve this and similar faults.
Thanks for the comment, much appreciated.
Oh, yes. Over here, in North America, we have the Whirlpool family of washers with a certain undervalue capacitor on various boards. Replace it and your gold. A few dollars for parts as opposed to hundreds for the board. Now, one can not say with certainty that it was designed to fail...just, I've never repaired a board from direct drive machines which had any other fault....
😁 Fantastic to hear actually, those of us who are handy can make the most out of these things. When I had my repair shop my father kept meticulous notes and we’d submit the repair notes to a fault book here in Australia. So many things fail in the exact same way.
If it were me, I would also tested the capacitors to make sure they were still in spec, since they might have experienced unusual load.
Yes indeed, that's a good idea. The 2 electrolytic's would be easy to replace. I'll definitely check them if it fails again.
Who is Noah Vale and why would anyone try adjusting to him?
😋
A 3D printer doing its job in the background?
Yes indeed! It was printing an ant habitat. 😁
Nice t-shooting and fix! Love it when we can extend the life of these expensive appliances!
Thanks! Yes indeed. Probably one of the more rewarding repairs I’ve done.
@@FixTechStuff Watch out it may end up being one of your most popular videos. My dryer repair one is always one of my most watched. 😂
@@JamiesHackShack Yeah, I think so to. I’ll go and have a look at your channel.
2% poontang😮
Can you please suggest me a method to fix a bearing if the bearing seating required few millimetres material more?
You're saying the bearing hole is too big for the bearing? perhaps a different size of bearing is available, I'm not sure
@@FixTechStuff the problem is with the axle. I am thinking to fix it by rolling some paper or plastic material around the axle.
Aluminium can as a shim might be a good option, other than that buying an axle from aliexpress.@@jenickjohnson4361
@@FixTechStuff I tried that but when I try to stuff it, it deforms. I have to try it again.
Not just used. A friend gve me one and its junk. Bearly can weld the strips it came with.
Yeah that's a real shame. It may be possible to upgrade it somehow, either with a small hand held one or a DIY method. I bought a timing module to make my own using a rewound microwave oven transformer but never got around to doing it.
Please stop with the stupid music
Please stop with the stupid comments.

hello. is the pitch 15mm?
Between the capacitor pins? I believe so yes.
@@FixTechStuff yes, thank you
Hello.думал колхозники только у нас живут)
I'm a farmer too, but perhaps on another channel. ;)
But how you know that's from here ? Thanks.
Cheers!
Yeah true, or not even that, on a table outside in the sun on a 25c day of all things.
