Can we bring this dead Bosch Washing Machine back to life?

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video I attempt to repair a Bosch Classixx WAE20262AU washing machine no power fault and discover some interesting things.
The old school no power fault was often a faulty door switch which could be bypassed in a pinch, but the modern washer is a very different beast.
Note: I am aware my comment about the TNY264 is inaccurate as switch mode power supplies do indeed have tiny transformers, perhaps those in the know can briefly explain what it does in the comments.

Thanks for the subscription! I really like your DIY campers, you make it look easy. We haven't had and problems with mildew yet and I think its because the wife likes to run the machine at 60c which might help kill the mildew. Could also be a climate related thing.

Oh, yes. Over here, in North America, we have the Whirlpool family of washers with a certain undervalue capacitor on various boards. Replace it and your gold. A few dollars for parts as opposed to hundreds for the board. Now, one can not say with certainty that it was designed to fail...just, I've never repaired a board from direct drive machines which had any other fault....

😁 Fantastic to hear actually, those of us who are handy can make the most out of these things. When I had my repair shop my father kept meticulous notes and we’d submit the repair notes to a fault book here in Australia. So many things fail in the exact same way.

If it were me, I would also tested the capacitors to make sure they were still in spec, since they might have experienced unusual load.

Yes indeed, that's a good idea. The 2 electrolytic's would be easy to replace. I'll definitely check them if it fails again.
