Easy Low Budget DIY Solar Power Installation - Part 1

Ғылым және технология

I've had off grid solar power for some years with DIY batteries made out of 18650's, but with the price on LIFEPO4 batteries coming down it makes it a lot easier to build a system that better suits your needs.
Here I build a basic solar power system to run lights and a refrigerator, a water pump and the power tools. It also doubles up as backup electricity in case of power outage, in future we will install a changeover switch on the house.
It's only the beginning, in the next video we will make some upgrades and solve a few problems that appeared.

Hi, I subscribed because I appreciate the video and the playlists. I am in the same sector of Energy Home DIY but in Europe and under 1000 subscribers yet. I would have expected more comments on this useful video. I will try to contact you.

Thanks, the series of videos as a DIY guide I would have expected more views. I have 2 seperate solar systems based on the same design and both are working great. Would love to justify having more batteries and a larger inverter. I subscribed to your channel also, will check out some of your videos.
