    You were actually supposed to have it click at the very bottom of your swing where you make contact. If it does not click there, your swing is off. It’ll click just by randomly swinging it. It actually does work really well.

    Gave this device at least 5 opportunities on the range only to realize a WASTE of time. Very disappointed! However, credit to those on the advertisement video for great acting that fooled me to fall for it. CON 1: Can't get feel like a traditional club because almost weight of 2 clubs means limited practice because the weight gets you fatigued on backswings. CON 2: Click sound too quiet so usually don’t know if it clicks or not so it's difficult to gauge if swinging properly. If it does click the sound usually drowned out at impact. I set the mechanism at 70 mph, my swing speed, but it didn’t matter. CON 3: When can hear the click the results inconsistent. Some shots I slice but it clicked anyways? Some shots hit flush down the middle but no click? Makes no sense. CON 4: Yes, training video offers solutions for those with hook or slicing issues. But for us golfers who do BOTH equally - there is no advice in training video therefore useless!

    Completely agree and I said in the video it would have been tough regardless of the wedge. But again, on the PG website for the One Wedge go look at their "soggy ground" picture. The club design plays a small role, but technique (or lack of in my case) will always win. Cheers!

    As a man of science I always thought to my self, why would it not click from shear g forces no matter the path, Thanks buddy, you proved me right. I’m sure there’s something to getting the click to match up with impact but that’s not going to matter too much hitting straight if you’re not straight.

  • @GolfOnTap
    @GolfOnTap29 күн бұрын

    Thanks, even with timing the click I'm very skeptical. The "speed settings" are all one inch apart from 60 - 100 mph... like did they crunch the numbers or have some type of data backing up that that is the exact distance needed to have proper "timing or compression" in the golf swing. It seems odd that it would just be lines one inch apart across all ranges of swing speeds.... I don't know... I'm just some idiot on KZread. Cheers!

    I hear you on the old youtube links they send, sometimes they are not helpful and leave you with more questions.. I did "complain" about this to swingtweaks and they did respond a remediate. it would be extremely beneficial, if the pro would just show you with a customized video of their own... or I wish there was a window of time where you can write a follow up question if you're unclear.

    Essentially they are trying to achieve the same thing and probably perform relatively the same for chip, pitch shots, etc. I would still be concerned with full swings and I think a company like Cleveland would be most likely to get it right across all areas. Cheers!

    I have the "Launch Deck" .... I bought it used for $40. It's fun to use. I can set it up to hit a variety of shots. Any beginner golfer should use this to learn how to hit the ball straight, a draw or a fade. It will teach them how to hit up or down on the ball. Putting tees in the ground is for more advanced golfers who already know how to draw or fade the ball and how to hit up or down on the ball.

  • @GolfOnTap
    @GolfOnTapАй бұрын

    It certainly gives a better visual, I'll give it that. But between using tees, golf balls, a towel, heck even old golf ball boxes you can set up the same drill. The Launch Deck is listed at $100 new on their website. Cheers!

    I'm not sure you are accurately describing how the tool is used. It likely will always click, so remember it is supposed to click when the club impacts the ball. A click before or after ball impact is the problem you are working on. Also, if the speed setting is way lower than your actual swing speed, it will always click.

  • @GolfOnTap
    @GolfOnTapАй бұрын

    When they initially released this there was nothing in any of the promos or their own training videos saying you are trying to get it to click specifically at impact. Some of their affiliates said it shouldn't click until after impact. But regardless of that, the click really doesn't mean anything because it will still release on any swing path and club face orientation. There own videos have their own guys (who appear in multiple ads) swing on a -13 path and its a "success". This wasn't marketed as a timing/tempo aid it was sold as an aid to "help golfers drop the club into the magical slot and help them hit pin seeking shots" / "it won't click if your not on the correct path". That being said if someone finds this aid helpful I'm glad because we all just want to shoot lower scores. Whatever works... works.... cheers!

    I’m looking for a swing aid for release; your’s was first I watched on this product as I was going back and forth between this and the Lag Shot. Dam I’m glad I did! I can see after I grabbed my friends how it does release regardless of the swing (and mine sucks). The issue with this aid isn’t that I won’t work, it is that the swing is too fast (anyones swing) to actually SEE the release point. Hence there can be no learning without a slow mo camera. What good is that?! I need this to practice on my own and get visual cues….not set up AV equipment. Tried the Lag Shot as well and realized that tempo it can help with, but release it cannot either. Don’t defend your video. I’d rather an HONEST, UNVARNISHED review to save my money for a lesson. Golf is expensive enough. Thanks for the help. This video is why I subscribed to you.

    Great video. I Just had a fitting a couple of weeks ago and I'm frothing at the mouth to get my new goodies. One tip that I might give - Don't get fitted so early in the year that you haven't quite knocked the rust off your swing. If you go to the range a few times and play a few times and your swing changes a little more than you thought it would, you might have just been fit for the wrong stuff.
