This tool will not correct my slightly over the top swing path I have. To suggest that it will is simply a money grab. Good for you calling out some of the big KZread names who are obviously benefiting financially from selling these off of their KZread channels.

@@wrenc7738 Their own promo video had -13 path.... I get that most people my not know what that means, but it is DRASTICALLY out-to-in over the top. It doesn't do anything for path, the click means nothing, and if they didn't market is as a fix for that issue then these videos probably wouldn't exist. I also probably would have not purchased it at all (like many others). Thanks for the support!, Cheers!

Dude, you made me laugh so hard...I couldn't stop for minutes!!!! I am saying this with the admission that I also bought this thing and I do use it sometimes for warm up before a round , mainly for the grip. I think it's a smart tool for its grip-feature and I never really swing it for the click (because then all my attention goes toward hearing the click and swing paths and angles go out the window). I think the whole magnet - clicking thing is gimmicky, but the rest of the club is good for gripping purposes. Your video definitely watch - worthy and I appreciate your sense of humor!!! PS. the way you made the endorsers wrong (about the clicking ) was just genius! Funny as hell . 🤣😂🤣😂🤣

over the years i have accumulated so many golf training aids, orange whip, swing setter, lasers, inside approach, medicus, momentum, the tally, GRF training system, swing fan, and most recently the GEM….none of these changed my handicap! maybe for a complete beginner but if your a 15 HCP only practicing your short game and keeping it in the fairway is gonna produce better rounds. @@GolfOnTap You are exactly right on that. I have wasted so much money on some of these local coach/instructors only to find out they are not that great of an instructor. Last guy I used had a special for 4 lessons and basically realized it was a waste of my time after the first lesson. He basically watched me swing said not too bad and mostly talked the entire lesson. Worthless. Wish I had access to some of these KZread instructors like Steve Johnson, Danny Maude, and I would say Eric Cogorno but now after seeing him promote this stick I dunno anymore! I guess they all take the money in the end.

I love this and the first video! Definitely keep it going! I didn’t, for 1 second, think you were trying to “debunk” or put down the straight stick, like you had a bias or pre-conceived notion. If it had performed like they say, you would have said that. So I appreciate the honest review. The internet is full of naysayers who would love nothing more than to criticize others no matter what. The other thing is, golf is a hard game. There is no one tool that fixes all the problems. And there is no quick fix that turns a 20 handicapper into a five handicapper in a month. I’m pretty much like you I’m a 14 handicap. I hit some good iron shots, but for the most part, I hit it off the toe. I leave it short, or I’m off-line. It’s taken me a long time to get to where I’m at, with lessons and practice. I will get better and there are some very good tools that give me feedback so I know what to work on and improve. You’re doing a great job, keep up the good work and thanks!

Thanks for the comment, I think I knew this at heart also but really it just struck a chord when I felt that PG was being misleading with the product. If this has helped someone I'm thrilled for them for real, we just want to shoot lower scores. My swing has improved with a few lessons and swing thoughts I found to work for me, not a clicking noise. Cheers!
Again thanks for all the info. I get more feedback when I try to change my club path. For me club path is the key. I can't score good if I'm hitting the ball out of bounds or in the next Fairway. Fairly decent with my irons. Struggle with my driver. Going over the top a lot. Learning how to work with my shoulders in different directions. Promotes different swing paths.

i totally agreed that their marketing is very misleading with what this training aid will do and i remember they even said it’s POWERED BY AI! GO FIGURE FOLKS
I’m looking for a swing aid for release; your’s was first I watched on this product as I was going back and forth between this and the Lag Shot. Dam I’m glad I did! I can see after I grabbed my friends how it does release regardless of the swing (and mine sucks). The issue with this aid isn’t that I won’t work, it is that the swing is too fast (anyones swing) to actually SEE the release point. Hence there can be no learning without a slow mo camera. What good is that?! I need this to practice on my own and get visual cues….not set up AV equipment. Tried the Lag Shot as well and realized that tempo it can help with, but release it cannot either. Don’t defend your video. I’d rather an HONEST, UNVARNISHED review to save my money for a lesson. Golf is expensive enough. Thanks for the help. This video is why I subscribed to you.
I think that the very best and most useful multifunctional golf trainer and golf accessory is STOW STICK. It is even keeps my golf gear safe and stowed while I’m playing golf.

As a grip trainer or maybe warmup / small space trainer it maybe has a purpose. I'm glad I resisted the driver... I will soon be returning mine as well. I'm only holding on to it to film maybe one more video with it. Cheers!
Was around a 7 handicap back in high school then stopped for almost 2 decades.. came back and took a bunch of golf tec lessons.. the only tools they recommended and which seemed to help me get my swing back were basically free tools that you can buy fancier versions of - the hanger drill for the wrist (amazon version or just use a wire hanger), the punisher stick for takeaway (just hold an alignment rod in your grip with any stick), the lag shot for tempo (no cheap version), and a simple noodle setup to keep path alignment in check

What I liked most about this video is that you represent the average mid or high-handicap golfer. This is the target population for this golf aid. If it isn't working for you after you went and bought the Straight Stick, why would I expect it to work for me? You clearly demonstrated that this club does not fulfill the claims being made by a lot of the pros. The sad part is that so many of the folks we follow on YT are recommending this, and it makes me wonder if they are more in it for themselves rather than those trying to learn the game and improve. I appreciate your honesty, and your demo of the club was hilarious. Great job!

As a man of science I always thought to my self, why would it not click from shear g forces no matter the path, Thanks buddy, you proved me right. I’m sure there’s something to getting the click to match up with impact but that’s not going to matter too much hitting straight if you’re not straight.

Thanks, even with timing the click I'm very skeptical. The "speed settings" are all one inch apart from 60 - 100 mph... like did they crunch the numbers or have some type of data backing up that that is the exact distance needed to have proper "timing or compression" in the golf swing. It seems odd that it would just be lines one inch apart across all ranges of swing speeds.... I don't know... I'm just some idiot on KZread. Cheers!

It is! It does what is claims to do by giving you tactile feedback on your swing plane and body turn. It takes a little getting used to and figuring out what you need to do to stop the "wobble," but when you do, it is so gratifying and rewarding. Daily practices with the GEM will most definitely improve my iron play. I plan to construct the homemade version and use it with several clubs since I prefer attaching it to an old club and not having to remove it every ten swings or so to hit a ball. The homemade version by Migmatis Golf kzread.info/dash/bejne/fWqt0qOMaJWWnNo.html can be made for under 15 dollars, and except for looks, will do the job just as well, I think.

Definitely see / hear the click - magnet release with balls on the driving range that go straight, correct loft.
Just bought the SS for the same reasons you did. I could not make it click so I began looking for advice and stumbled upon your two videos that pretty much told it was a waste of money. Luckily they quickly sell on eBay so I will be able to recoup most of the money it cost. Another complaint would be the excessive marketing emails and attempts to sell me lessons even before it arrived.

The emails and texts never stop... I might just do a general video on Performance Golf also. Cheers!
The vod was at the very least entertaining.....nice slap shot BTW! 😆😆

@@GolfOnTap got to put these companies on blast that take advantage of gullible players trying to improve.
The montage was all you needed…😂 I this kept me from buying one.
LOL Hilarious. Thanks for saving me the cash. Almost pulled the trigger.

Glad to help, be sure to reallocate those funds to another golf product, haha. Cheers!
I had one...key word is had. I returned it for all the reasons you mention in your videos. I recently picked up a GEM, so we'll see how that one goes. I've never been able to consistently hit a golf ball worth a damn, so if this thing can sort me out it will be a miracle from God! If you haven't already, you should review it. Well done, great content!! Take care.

I've had a few people recommend the GEM also. Been in a bit of a funk lately, but winter is a good time to work on the swing. Thanks for the comment, cheers!

@@GolfOnTap Well I wish you the best...know how that goes. I had a really good range session with it the other day (the GEM). I had a breakthrough of sorts as it showed me I was doing something funky with my hands before impact. I've actually never hit the ball this well in my life to be honest. We'll see if I can remain consistent. Take care!
Thank you!! You've got a new follower!!!

Such a good montage. How many tries did the blind backwards hit take?

Just one, haha. My swing plane was dailed. Thanks straight stick! Cheers!
Thanks for this great video! You kept me (a lifelong slicer) from wasting my money on another phony aid! I’ve purchased ridiculous amounts of money on training aids including the Medicus, weighted clubs, “The Sam 2,000” (although the “Sam 2,000” did dramatically improve my swing. I just couldn’t devote the time and space to use it. I wound up giving it away. Thus far I’m still a left-handed slicer. I actually gave away thousands of dollars of Ping Irons, Mizuno Woods, two bags, hundreds of gold balls, shoes, the club glove travel case etc.

Sorry for the delayed response, glad the video helped. I'm sure you've heard of the Jim Furyk drill, but maybe give that some work, strengthen your grip (more knuckles showing on your right hand), and see if you can get the club on a better path. Golf is a game of opposites, exaggerate it, try to hit hooks, and see. Cheers!
OMG I actually laughed out loud watching this video alone :D

Thanks for giving it a watch. I mean I get it to a certain extent. This is their living, but it does feel a bit like a cash grab and disingenuous. Cheers!
Is there any kind of training aid you would recommend for a beginner? I do like some of performance golf videos etc but everything is such a hard sell with them
Nearly brought one of these. Damn those hangover shopping sprees. Thanks $$$$

I know the feeling…. Haha. Cheers!
That answers my question about the straight stick, i have great ball striking on the range. I seem to need to feel impact in my arms & hands to get going sooner ,in the round irons only on 1st few shots. Of course I'm old & we usually just tee it up & go no warm up not a pro. How boring it would be if i didn't have to get out of trouble & then pull off a great shot every now & then
Can you do a video review of the ProSendr ? I feel like it helped with with making better contact on my long irons. Curious to see how you do as we are around the same handicap and also slight toe strikers

I’ll definitely check it out. Some pretty big names associated with it. See if the better half will approve the purchase. Cheers!
Not that I'm a pro, but watching your last video you power the irons like a driver. The wrist snap is where the power comes from. IMO, the extra weight and the click is the reason this is a training aid. Like a sharp knife, let the club do the work. That's my take on it anyways lol

I stand up and get wristy which I’m trying to fix. But nonetheless the claims say no click no click this fixes all swing problems. It’s just false and in my opinion a money grab. Cheers!
