I had a 2022 Ascent touring and just traded it in for a 2024 Ascent touring. I hated the 2024 at first but it was just like getting a new PC or phone, once you get it set to how you want the Ascent is really nice, safe, responsive and comfortable.

I was just thinking about this today. I think what is happening here is Ford is running an experiment to see if they can get away with cost cutting on safety measures. I think they are trying to see if the masses care enough to buy something else. If they don’t, Ford makes money hand over fist because car profit margins are so small, a single percentage point decrease in expenses can have a HUGE impact on their bottom line, and if people do, well, not many people were going to spend that much money on a car anyway, so they’ll just redesign it to be safer and cut whatever losses they generate.

Ford has gone from being the best car manufacturer in the distant past to being the worst car manufacturer! Their cars are unsafe. Their car engines are dying like flies. Disgusting, cheap, broken, dangerous carts! This is despite the fact that the US government printed huge amounts of dollars and distributed them to Ford, GMC and others so that they could pay off their debts. What spurred inflation. But this did not help these fat lazy cats. "The mountain gave birth to a mouse."
