2:47 WOW! That's like the strongest roof I've ever seen, 28,037 lbs

It’s very high. Some vehicles have crossed passed 30,000, but it’s very rare. I can think of the Rivian R1T as an example.

Do you know the roof strenght of the 2016 smart fortwo?

The roof strength hasn’t been tested by the IIHS, but I expect that it would do well. It’s safety cage is strong. It’s safety limitations come from its light weight in collisions with heavier vehicles.

@@crashcore_cc Thanks for the reply, strange that it wasn't tested! I could only find results from the old smart fortwo (2009), which was best in class for roof strenght. I will try to avoid crashing into SUVs and Pick-ups ;)

@crashcore_cc I remember seeing a commercial on the ForTwo that its structure is so rigid, it can hold up two SUVs

All electronically controlled entry/exit doors have emergency mechanical overrides, both from the outside (when the vehicle is unlocked) and inside (usually a lever that can be easily accessed). The Model Y has one directly in front of the window control switches, at the end of the door side armrest. The Mach-E door lever in the armrest doubles as the electronic and emergency door release. If you can't operate either, should you be able to break the windows, you can escape that way. I own neither of these vehicles and discovered this information from the manufacturers using less than 10 seconds of Googling. Please educate yourself on safety equipment and features in the vehicle by referring to the owner's manual or researching the manufacturer's information.

i think the reason why the doors open is because people might have to pry the door open.
