  Does this mean when Porsche hopefully come with their new crank shaft design, they will be affected by BoP and thus have a worse power to weight ratio due to the update like the Peugeot? Or did peugeot get such a drastic change of power to weight ratio because of how much they have changed about their car.

  Next time, take measurements between each phase. Like, were thd extra seals in front worthwhile? The under carriage? Which mods had thd best bang for buck?

  For Newey, the chance to influence future roadcar design at the world's most famous marque must be a huge factor. He's talked before about how car design has been heading in the wrong direction with weight and aero, Ferrari offers the best way forward for him. McLaren second, AM third. I think he wants to build an iconic road car like Gordon Murray's McLaren F1, the Valkyrie might not count?

  This kind of "cars" still operating today, but they're now called trishaws. Of course, they are runned by motors and now fitted with LEDs which makes them look sporting at night.

  I changed tire size from 205 to 185 and the fuel economy improved a good amount, less rolling resistance, I also installed turbine wheels from an older Mercedes that look similar to your moon discs.

  Late to the party but didnt adrian also expressed some annoyance with the next set of regulations? Doesnt help that tyre dimensions have yet to be confirmed. Probably a good thing that hes leaving the team that he built together with horner... Cos sooner or later redbull will have to soldier on without his guide... While many speculate he might be going to ferrari im of the opinion that he should just stay at redbull.

  The farmers always had access to fuel. After all, these cars ran on Alcohol. Gasoline was an afterthought. Alcohol from fermentation was perfect. It has no carbon footprint.

  Tchuss Martin, great stuff as usual. This is the only media since the news leaked who has nailed why Mr. Newey may or may not want to go to Ferrari. Besides Ferrari... Aston Martin might've been appealing because of: geography, Honda mutual respect, road car business, opportunity to lead and grow. But could Andretti-Cadillac be a dark horse; they just set up a facility in UK and Caddy has LM projects and road cars. Besides LM and road cars, another way around an F1 gardening-leave period might be working for the engine supplier (Caddy, Honda, etc) instead of the chassis.

  I have this silly idea that the present owner of Willams should offer him 50% of their shares for free with the clause that he should work there for free for 5 years. An arrangement like this would draw sponsorship money big time. And Newey could get full technical control over a team he only left in the first place because Frank Willams and Patrick Head didn’t want to allow him to get to much influence. After 5 years he could become Technical Director Emeritus and become an English version of Enzo Ferrari. 😃 Greetings from Denmark

  The detail about McLaren's headquarters architecture and office rules was pretty startling. Ron Dennis achievement is incredible but to not flex to allow a key person to flourish and stay is a big failure.

  I’m back from hating this car for a solid year. to suddenly growing a deep relationship with the car. I didn’t fully appreciate the design till I connected Metropolis 1927 as a potential source of inspiration for this car. This is not confirmed anywhere but it’s startlingly close and something I’m deeply emotionally tied to. Such craftsmanship.

  F1 is largely centered around England, so that isn't a restrictive factor. Living in England is an enabler if you work in F1 !
