I never understood the hype behind Redbull switching to the zeropod when clearly that was not what they were going for, it just looks like the downwash concept taken to the extreme. Too many channels these days racing for clicks and publishing whatever speculation comes up no matter how ridiculous it is.

It's not a zero pod, the car clearly has side pods. It's just an S duct with vertical intakes and a more refined W14 engine cover.

@doorgarage exactly why they should be following people like this, i never believe any aero hype train unless this channel or KyleEngineers expresses the same sentiment. Also we have eyes for a reason, one could cleary see very very fat sidepods on the RB. I'm not an engineer of any sort but that was at least very apparent to me.

This is complete visual representation and a very good way to describe the highlights of this car’s cooling package. It leaves very little room open for interpretation because that would only make the picture blurry. Thanks again for the upload. I’ll hit the describe button in a bit so i’ve got a satisfying F1 season upcoming. Lots of F1 fans apparently already have done so. And for a good reason though 👍🏼

Yeah, I don't really see why they would want to have a concept like the zero pod Merc if they can just incorporate the elements they like as they have done. I think this is based on the assumption that zero pods would be "better" if they can be made to work, without any evidence to support that.

I think Verstappen will be way out front. Checo will still be making mistakes. McLaren, Ferrari and AM all have the potential to have closed the gap slightly and at least be more consistent with what they all learned last year. McLaren seem to be in much better starting point, and Ferrari so far sound happy they have a clear development path instead of an inconsistent car. Hopefully Ricciardo swaps to the big team after a couple of races.

That car is crazy developed. If I had to guess, those aggressive floor flicks next to the side pods are another way to force air up that is pushed outwards by the air underneath the sidepod. This helps push more of the front wake outboard.

I would think that moving all the radiators forward would also help in car balance. The more centralized the mass the less force needed to change its direction. Mean in you can turn faster and the suspension can be softer for acceleration and breaking.

Move to Merc, and Jos will insist on a job at Merc. F1 viewership in America is flattening out. Americans have a 'Trendiness' about their entertainment. NFL owns sports fandom in the USA, F-1 is just another distraction which will fade away. "Drive to Survive" has lost its influence. Without a ball it is not a sport in the USA. Miami and Vegas were big mistakes. Attendance will be down this season. The glimmer of F-1 in the USA is over. Greed by FIA will undermine F1 in the USA. "Game of Thrones" holds the record for fan attention for more than a year. It's over. And the Middle East races suck. F1 has lost its 'hipness' by abandoning European Race tracks for artificial 'pop up' street tracks.

@f9009 The livery is nice! The version without Oracle and Bybit was better of course, where the "Red Bull" in dayglo red popped against the matte navy background but it's nice. I don't like changing liveries just for the sake of changing liveries if there is nothing wrong with the old livery. If it was a neat livery in 2016, it still a neat livery now! Looking back, the 2016 did "pop" more as it had more of that Marlboro dayglo orange on it -- a larger Bull on the engine cover and red Total endplates, but oh well they aren't sponsored by Total anymore, so it is what it is. (Also it is insane how basic the bargeboards were back then compared to 2021, unless that was just a launch spec!)

I have nothing to think of the livery, I never found them to be either beautiful, exciting or ugly at Red Bull. However the long and fat nose, and the ugly sausages at the back don't make it a beautiful car. Even the sidepods are far from the most elegant on the grid.
