Broken Window Theory

Broken Window Theory

We are Till and Marco, two friends from Germany who founded the Broken Window Theory crew in 2015. We explore abandoned places and seek beauty in decay. Buildings were not left to rot for no reason - every abandoned site has its own unique story hidden behind forgotten walls.

Let us take you on a journey through time in our videos. Together we visit unseen places and uncover secrets behind closed doors.

Have been here today. It looks pretty much the same, when you've been here. Nice place indeed, but the gate is closed now, you'll need to jump over a barbed wire.

Too bad that the kids or whoever inherited the house did not at least donate some furniture. Maby the kids or anyone who inherited the property don't even live in Italy. Quite sad, to see such gorgeous stuff just abandoned.

About the relativley new abandoned car that is weir weird. But besides that might be that there are multiple owners who can't agree what to do whit it. But you might be right that the former owner lost it due to some debts or something else and now it is owned by the bank.

I'm from Brazil and bought your book on the bwturbex website. I got the confirmation of the purchase but didn't receive any other emails regarding its shipment to Brazil. Is that normal? Is there any support contact that could assist me with it? I really like the channel and quality of the material you guys bring. You really put a lot of effort into it!!

Sometimes i like to rematch your videos. They're very calming for me. I've been subbed to ya'll for years but only able to offer non-monitary support. That being said, ya'll still are my fave yt channel. If you ever come to Eastern Iowa USA, let me know, I might know some urbexers here! :D

I have been watching your channel for 6 or 7 years and have watched you grow. I have admired the work you put into your videos and the research you put into the locations. This however made me loose all respect for this channel. How about educating people about your beliefs instead of vandalism? Tell people why, what the ramifications are, etc. I may or may not unsubscribe from this channel.

Feel free to unsubscribe if you don't like the videos we post, no hard feelings! However, it wasn't us spraying graffiti in this clip - it was activists we documented for a couple of days.

Wow what an incredible episode! I love your channel, but bringing attention to this way of life, to these people and just a glimpse into some of the plight the modern culture has brought them is so much more important than anything you have ever done. It is imperative to capture in the history books, as you did…

Urbex in UK. Do not carry a weapon. If the British police catch you they will usually just send u on your way. If they search u and find a weapon especially a knife, you will be arrested and charged. Do not carry any tools except a torch. Always carry a dust mask. If the British Police find tools on u they will arrest u and charged with going equipped for burglary. Do not break into any buildings. Most of Urbexing is just common sense although gaining experience is a must.

I absolutely loved this video. It is so fascinating to see how others live. The scenery is just beautiful and the people so interesting. It gave me chills when your guide said their older brother doesn’t come very often anymore, to think that may be the last of them in the mountains. Stay safe out there!!

what they once again dont tell you is that this is a german built castle and poland inherited it in 1945. why do they always do this/?? just say this is a german built and run castle that PL " inherited" in border changes in 1945? they give the polish name of the town but that was the name after 1945 , why dont you give the real german name of the time the castle was built and run by the german owner. why all these lies and attempts t o "polinize" and trick your audience. there s nothing wrong to say this was a german built castle we PL inherited instead of the constant lieing? You are not professional historians if you dont tell the truth. You know this area was Ger,man for 800 years before it was ceded to PL in 1945. stop the lieing and unprofessionalism of your interestng but falsified shows. stop it now. I have been often to the Grafschaft Glatz and can attest to this personally.

Living close to the land is a lost art yet so vitally important to sustain the enviroment. There will come a time in not to distant when people will want to know the survival skills. In some regard this vid reminds me of older folk living hard in remote areas of Iran. The future doesn't seem like a very loving or sane place to be. Congrats on the National Geo book! You guys are above and beyond the mainstream. Many blessings n Happy Trails. Thanks for taking us places not seen ordinarily on tv.
