Have a 5065e replaced battery and get nothing not starting no lights
Sounds like bad connection or possibly the key switch.
Not the governor. Just the choke.
I have a guy I feel who is being deceptive. Hes selling a johm deer 160 and I asdked where's the oil filter. He looked and said it. Must not have one. It has a kawasaki engine. The oil was low when I checked it. Now from what I've seen it does have a oil filter. The steering has been fixed. It runs good. The break doesn't seem to worm also. Is this wroth 325.00
My advice is to walk away anytime someone seems deceptive. The price can be an indicator that he knows of other issues and just wants to unload it knowing it needs fixed. Basically the old say “If it sounds to good to be true it probably is” If you have the knowledge and tools to fix anything that may be wrong it may not be a bad deal but I can’t say for sure without looking at it myself.
@@baldeagle242I don’t think he was being deceptive now. I thought since he said there’s no oil filter for one. I will have to replace the break pads

TruCool 40K Transmission Cooler, -6AN steel-braided hose kit, & an ICT Billet 6l80 cooler line adapter with gasket. Bypass the radiator, discard the thermostat completely.
It’s really clean under it , looks new 😊
Amazing what a little pressure washing can do. 😁👍

Why these companies use odd size belts, so they can sell you one... but you beat them this time. Nice.
@@RichsMowersNBlowers it drives me crazy. I keep stock on most even sized belts and generally find one that will work for situations like this but it does get annoying. Thanks for stopping by my friend. 🦅🇺🇸

When you work on mowers you make it look easy, I spend half my time looking around my garage for the correct tool, As always great video thank you for sharing, I hope you had a great 4th of july
@@vincentshelpfulhints4085 one of the most important things I’ve learned over the years is to put my tools away after every job. I can’t stand hunting for tools when I’m working on something. When I was very young I left some tools in the driveway after working on my bicycle. My father found the tools and calmly called me out to the garage. He had a huge roll around tool box and proceeded to push it out into the driveway where I thought he was going to make my pick up the tools I had left outside. Instead he tipped the entire toolbox over in the driveway and told me that one every tool was picked up and put away where it belonged, only then could I use his tools again and if not I was never allowed to touch his tools again. By the time I finished picking up and putting everything away I knew where every single piece belonged and to this day I don’t pick up a tool in my shop or anywhere else without paying attention to where it belongs. It’s a skill that most mechanics never learn and one that will save you hours of frustration over your lifetime. Thank you for watching. I hope you’ve had a great 4th as well. 🧨🎇🎆

Gotta watch the cotter pins on these types, they will slide past the stop if they are smaller
Thank you so much! I've been fighting with my mower for months. This tip fixed it. And I'm embarrassed to say I never noticed that dial before.
You’re not alone. 😁👍 I’ve had many with this issue over the years.
Timing issue….very obvious…
Thank you for making me smile for a minute. You are worth my time.
Thank you. 😁👍
Should the motor shaft be greased before installing a drive pulley
You can buy a little grease or anti-seize to help the next guy out that has to pull it off.
After I have mower running and I release the brake it dies. How come?????
@@timothybrindle6957 assuming the blades are spinning freely and not bound up for any reason that’s either a seat safety switch or the brake safety switch. If your mower has a switch on the deck chute(not all do) that can cause this issue as well. If you follow the steps in this video it’s pretty easy to isolate the bad switch. You may have more than one.
Been seeing a lot of videos on belt & cable swaps. Also, lots of machines being brought back to life. Seems people are fixing their old equipment. Done paying high lawn services prices. Their starting to cut their own lawns again.
The Florida pool pump motor repair guy 32750 approved ! that was good info & see = baldeeagle242
If you want more RPM get a better motor. Them cheap one won't last. They are ok to mock up your cart or to sale a cart. But if it's your cart and you want more power, get different motor. I built mine with a 7.5hp. I love it so I got a 15hp and different gearing . That was 15 years ago, I still us it almost every day. Tiers, belts, oil changes as needed. You won't be disappointed going biger and running easier. 👍🏼. If you try to work smaller one hard, 👎🏻 you should be ready to replace it often.
@@shadetreehomestader Can’t argue with that. 😁👍

Another excellent belt replacement video from an awesome small engine repair mechanic. Thank you for sharing your incredible knowledge and skills, sir. 👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you my friend. I appreciate your support. 😁👍
No need to cut the black wire just unhook it from the coil just slides off. Hope this helps someone.
Thanks for the tip! That works also but requires the removal of the top engine cover. 😁👍
@@baldeagle242 No just pull that heat shield/air guide down and pull the black wire off the coil it slides off than you can slide it back on after and slide the shield/guide back up
Nice job on showing the belt replacement. I own the Cub Cadet version of this mower that threw the belt off. I re-installed it twice and it threw it right back off each time. I finally discovered that the back belt guide lost one of the mounting bolts and when the belt was engaged allowed it to come off. These aren't terribly complicated, but unless you have a good picture of how it's supposed to work, it can be a pain.
Thank you! This is one of the easier mowers to work on for sure. Hopefully this will help get a few people up and cutting again. 😁👍
One premium spark plug. 6$ One bad ass born to ride sticker.$3.99 One pair of leather gloves $12.99 Hopping on your hog with some of your closest buddies and feeling the freedom blow thru your hair at 14 mph. $priceless$
i always wonder if they design something to use an odd length belt on purpose , or if they design the mower , then discover that they need to have a special belt made .
@@billsmith1770 I’ve wondered the same thing. There are a lot of mowers that use fractional belts.
Nice job Steve, glad the 44" worked on it. 👍
@@Big_Johns Thank you John. This was an impromptu video and was happy to get him going. He has used the mower twice since putting the 44” belt on and everything is working great. The good thing about this one is, I can keep an eye on it to make sure there are no issues. 😁👍
Anytime brother and it’s always nice to have great neighbors, I’m sure he’s very appreciative of you. 👍🏼
@@Big_Johns He’s a great guy. Grew up in Communist China and has stories to tell that most Americans will never relate to. He’s very thankful for everything he has and one of the best neighbors anyone cold ask for.
That's awesome for sure Steve
Great video, great ideas. Put the cable on a vise next time you need to cut it. Very dangerous to grind so close to your hand like that. Easy way to loose a finger.
@@TiSurvival Thank you! I don’t need to loose another one. 😁👍
ya it good enough for a lawnmower they run all most for ever
Bro it looks fine honestly.
It's funny, everyone is trashing this mower in this comment section, but the last video I watched, everyone was praising it in that comment section. I've had one 10 years and the only problem I had was the fuel solenoid - covered under warranty.
Does anyone sell just the jet o ring
There are a few that sell just the rubber pieces but it’s rare that you will see just the oring. amzn.to/3zv0VTy
I'm Irish whats 4th of July like that a normal day
The 4th of July, known as Independence Day, is a major holiday in the United States that celebrates the country's declaration of independence from British rule in 1776. It's a day for family and friends to gather for barbecues, picnics, and outdoor activities. Traditional foods include hot dogs, hamburgers, corn on the cob, and apple pie. Many cities and towns host public events like concerts, fairs, and historical reenactments. Major cities often have large-scale celebrations that are broadcast on television. The day is filled with expressions of national pride and unity. You'll hear patriotic music, and many people take a moment to reflect on the country's history and values. In essence, the 4th of July is a day of celebration and remembrance, highlighting America's history and cultural identity. It's a uniquely American holiday that combines historical reflection with festive enjoyment.
I have never changed mower oil, I just add more. 20ys on the Toro.
You’re not alone. I doubt most of them I see have ever been changed.
I do this with my air powered brake bleeder works great
I just run it till it's hot set up and down tip the mower over the oil drains right in the pan out of the fill tube simple and it works
