What is an oil catch can?
Do oil catch cans actually work?
What do oil catch cans do?
Can an oil catch can prevent carbon deposits from building up on intake valves?
This video dives into the world of catch cans, demonstrating how they work, the PCV systems and valve deposits, a real-world example,
Oil catch cans are placed between the PCV valve and the port on the intake manifold, allowing for the can to remove any oil that would otherwise end up back into your intake manifold, which can cause deposits to form on the intake valves. This video will examine their effectiveness and if they’re worth the trouble.
The compatibility of the Evil Energy oil catch can work with a wide range of vehicles, including our 2018 Chevy Silverado 4.3L V6, even though this engine is not mentioned in the Amazon description. This catch can kit is specifically designed for a variety of Chevy, GMC, and Cadillac models, making it a versatile and reliable choice for those who own these vehicles.
The installation process is remarkably simple, including custom brackets, hoses, and fittings tailored for direct replacement. This ensures that even those with limited mechanical expertise can effortlessly set up the oil catch can on their own. The comprehensive installation instructions provided further contribute to the user-friendly nature of this product, making it accessible to a wide range of car enthusiasts.
A notable aspect of the Evil Energy oil catch can is its strategic installation location. Focusing on the PCV side of the engine, this catch can efficiently capture oil vapors before they have a chance to circulate back into the engine. This targeted approach enhances its effectiveness in maintaining a cleaner and more efficient combustion process.
The recommendation to check and clean the oil separator after driving 500 to 1000 miles adds a practical touch to the product's maintenance routine. We recommend checking it at each fuel fill-up. This proactive measure ensures that the catch can continues to function optimally, extending engine life and preserving its smooth operation over time. The ease with which one can perform this maintenance task contributes to the overall convenience of owning and maintaining the Evil Energy oil catch can.
The function of the fine mesh aluminum filter is a key element in the success of this oil catch can. By capturing fine oil vapor, the filter actively contributes to the extension of the engine's lifespan. This promotes longevity and ensures the engine runs smoothly and cleanly, leading to an enhanced driving experience.
The Evil Energy oil catch can stands out not only for its compatibility with a range of Chevy, GMC, and Cadillac models. The inclusion of a fine mesh aluminum filter adds a layer of sophistication to its functionality, making it a valuable addition for those looking to optimize their engine's performance and longevity.

Thanks for the in informative vid! I need to put one of these on each my autos, for sure. As far as the AI part at the beginning, I'm mixed about it... I tune in to hear you discuss the topic and the AI voice-over seemed... I don't know... Over produced, maybe. I sorta felt like I was on some bot-narrated channel and typically skip past them when I end up clicking on one in my feed. That said, I do like the creativity of doing it. Just my 2 cents.

Yes, you can add them to any engine that has a PCV valve that connects to the intake manifold. The main reason they don’t install them on new cars is the newer engines have less blow by and the main reason is they require regular ongoing maintenance to empty them. Most people quit simply just won’t tend to it until it fails.

Excellent and well explained process with tangible results. I put one on an Ecotec 2.4L, same brand, and I get about the same collection in roughly the same stretch. Obviously more water it seems when humid or cold out. Definitely no regrets. Some say their vehicle runs better but I didn’t notice much difference but I’m sure it’s happier as a result. Some folks issue warnings about their use in freezing temps but I’m guessing if checked at reasonable intervals there’s little downside.

@@baldeagle242 "new cars is the newer engines have less blow by" They went to Low Tension rings and thin oil and some engines aren't doing to well bc of it. One of Toyota's 4 cylinder engines has the reputation that if you don't change the oil every 3K miles it will stick oil control rings and scuff the cylinder walls. It has an OCC built into the engine and dumps all the impurities back in the oil. You're way better off pulling this stuff out of the engine and dumping them like you're doing. The Mini Cooper engine by BMW has this reputation as well as others, they call them Sludge Monsters or something like that.

Good morning, I come with a problem with the Alpina BT-84 mower. The mower starts properly, no problems. The problem occurs when I want to turn on the cutting unit. After tightening the mushroom cap, the mower does not respond - it does not turn on the mower and does not turn off. The electromagnetic clutch works, the basket sensor works, the basket full sensor works. I cleaned the contacts (also on the mushroom plates). The strange thing is that the mower reacts as it likes, because I managed to start the mower about three times, even though I did absolutely nothing to it, but after a while it immediately stated again that it would not mow. Could the problem be caused by some abnormality in the insides of the mushroom itself or is there some other reason that could be causing the specific problem. I suspect that it is directly related to some part of the electrical system, but I have absolutely no idea what causes this problem. Could replacing the plug improve the situation?
