ErcoupeTV! I fly a 1948 vintage Ercoupe from Nevada County Airport in Northern California. I create videos that take you along for a ride in the aircraft, enjoying the classic aircraft that the Ercoupe is, and the beautiful Northern California area scenery. Please let me know if there is anything specific you'd like to see. Thanks for watching!

Beautiful plane!
Thank you!
Absolutely stunning.
Awesome
I always enjoy your videos and look forward to them. Was hoping that I might run into you at the EOC Convention in Ottawa, KS this year. I drove over and visited during the convention. I still own my 172 but there is just something about Fred Weick’s creation that keeps me wanting one.
Full tanks = less condensation .
Reminded me of flying an Ercoupe in the 80's. You have to consider your route to match the slow climb performance, and lots of time to reach your destination.
Long time since I’ve tuned in! Haven’t watched much aviation content lately. How’s the Vans build going?
Glad to have you back! Unfortunately neither of us have had time to get back into the RV for a bit. We need to get the fuse center section going again...
I was going to land there in 2022, in the Maule, but only made it as far as the Evergreen Museum. Heard about a 50th anniversary thing about "American Graffiti" at Petaluma and changed plans, A nice change from southern California and experienced actual Oregon weather.
Such an amazing place. I made my first visit just a few weeks ago. I'm not missing the 2924 Fly-In this year!
Great to see the 'pre-flight ' map again James. I enjoy studying your U.S. format charts, so different from my N.Z. ones, and spend almost as much time tracking you and flicking back at points of interest as I do watching your video. Great stuff!
It really sux flying into the sun...and even more when landing 😉...another great video.
45 not bad... 🤔
G,day James from Sydney Australia. How long since checking the oleo struts (seals, oil and gas)? Great video, captured some interesting land formations. 🌏🇦🇺
Hey John. They had not been done for many years. I did them a month after this video, new seals, donuts, 5606 oil. There's no gas in the oleos on the Ercoupe.
Awesomely produced videos! There's a nice Ercoupe for sale in Bremerton, WA about 320 miles from here. SO tempting! - Former ATC here, just turned 60
Was the plane next to you from Oklahoma?
I don't think so. Idaho I believe.
That scenery never gets old it's so beautiful, thank you for sharing, James. RIP: Prineville Hotshots.
I just read about the Prineville Hotshots deaths, what a shame.
@@JamesGood Yeah it was an awful tragedy so sad, another was the Granite Mountain Hotshots in Yarnell Az.
Awesome photography or videography these days! Beautiful part of the US and the low altitude was actually great for checking out the world below! Two thumbs up James! 👍🏻👍🏻
Low and slow! :)
fine..no bumpy thermals in the early morning..
Gorgeous
There must be something about the ercoupe that creates calm, somewhat poetic pilots.
:) Thank you! That's a very nice thing to say.
Lets see how long I can hold it off... LOL. Nicely done
Another brilliant video. Many thanks James. 👍👍👍
Thanks for sharing your adventures. I really like the format in which you present them, it is as we are right there with you.
Stunning scenery!
SIR JAMES jolly good show old boy until next time, cheerio!!
Watched all 29 min, 41 seconds with great enjoyment. Definitely time well wasted.😆
Thanks for your 30 minutes of time! Glad you enjoyed it. :)
I wanted to see the UH60 near Lake County ! Nice hold off there…..
I got some video of the UH60, will be in the final video!
Me and 2 friends have a 1967 Alon Aircoupe! Your videos are inspiring to get out and go flying!
Great video🙏🏻
Outstanding content! How long was this flight, did you continue to have tail winds like in part 1 ?
Hi Doc. Thank you! It was 2 hours 20 minutes. I think we had a bit of a tailwind the whole way.
First time I watched the whole series about the Amboy trip. Great video and geography lesson at the same time. Thunderstorms and hail here in eastern Washington so this was a great and relaxing evening watch as I sipped my hot chocolate. What editing program due you use to edit the videos so seamlessly? Thanks.
Thanks Ronald, glad you enjoyed. Diane and I watched this one again (it's been a few years), a nice trip to remember! We just got back with the Coupe from Northern OR, we were going to try and get up to WA, but the weather didn't look good.
Good one! Thank you for posting.
Hey there James this is Rj the Rc Pilot that met you and your co-pilot at the Malin Airport today during your quest for petrol for the Erocoupe i wanted to ask you it you knew Mark from Skywagon University KZread Channel since he lives in your area and is a Brit as well as an amazingly pilot well educated in the world of Cessna.s? Mark knows more about cessna planes than the people who run cessna Lol
Hey RJ, thanks for leaving a comment! I do know Mark, a little bit. He makes good videos. Thanks so much for hooking us up with fuel today, Gus was super helpful at Toole Lake. I hope you had a good time flying?
@@JamesGood That i did James Say hi too Blancalirio Juan Brown for me i absolutely love his channel as well. Cheers Mate
I learned to fly an Ercoupe in Big Bear Ca USA it was cool
When the world is going to hell, just watch any James Good videos!
Yucca Valley is where I did my PPL when I was stationed in 29 Palms!
Enjoyed tagging along, Thanks.
Cool videos James! Are you going to Oshkosh this year?
Great vid. I learned to fly in MS Flight Simulator in a third party PA-28 Warrior II in 1995 so that aircraft brings back memories. Beautiful scenery on your flight!
Very cool. My dad was an engine mechanic on the RC-121 Warning Stars at McClellan AFB 1958-1961
Great to see you out and about.
Awesome video as always James. I told Summer she owed me a ride for waking me up but I couldn't get her to bite ;) LOL WAAAM is always a favorite place to visit. Great job!
this plane has open dome roof so does that mean they're not allowed to go very high up?
Hello. It's more limited by engine power (only 100HP, less than most cars these days), which limits its altitude to about 12,000 feet. It's cold up there, and you can close all the 'roof' with glass, the panels slide around and cover it all in. It's a good design! It's very nice to fly with the windows open.
Great stuff. I love your channel. Keep it up!
Thank you Larry! I appreciate you letting me know.
Good video, and it was great meeting you there. Looking forward to the trip home.
Great video! Love seeing those classic birds.
I wish I knew about these beautiful aircraft when I was younger. Love your videos James.
Ahh Jim, what a great video to wake up to. That museum is wonderful. I need to come along to one of these meets some day. Would love to shoot some portraits of the old timers like Maynard. What a legend. Lovely to see these adventures old pal.
