    I loved this episode so much. I was actually reluctant to watch because I am not dating right now, but this was so refreshing and insightful. I feel like you guys are laying a lot of groundwork for me so I can avoid a lot of pain and frustration in the future when I take the plunge again. Thank you <3 And P.S. Michael, if you meet someone with a capital "B" and get married, I WANT AN INVITE TO THE WEDDING! :)

    Great episode! I’m in a frustrating spot with post first dates feeling like I’m the only committed one. These are successful first dates by the way, if some of the guys lied to my face. In one case a guy was honest with me that due to recent events he is not maybe open for a relationship at the moment. So that i can respect, you can set expectations correctly. But then there’s guys that want you to chase them. I’m autistic and frankly have no interest in playing games. But they guilt trip you every time you haven’t reached out for awhile. Even though every time you reach out they’re not available etc. or they claim they aren’t at least. so like after awhile you lose interest naturally and then reaching out going “what happened with” guilt tripping when you’ve started moving on. Have blamed myself and maybe thought it was the autistic thing and there having been misunderstandings.

    Thank you for sharing your experience and for your kind words about the episode! It’s really tough dealing with mixed signals, especially when you're genuinely looking for a committed relationship. It's great that you can respect honesty, but it's understandable to feel frustrated with game-playing. Your feelings are valid, and it's important to stay true to yourself. Wishing you the best on your journey!🥰

    I just now learned of my fathers death. He was 86 and I am 65. He only answered and spoke with me by phone 3 times in my life only because He thought the calls were from someone else. He never called me even once in my life and although I long ago let go of any hard feelings or expectations , I suddenly realize that I truly will never get that call that the little boy in me still would love to have received. 😢😊

    A very timely topic. Primary goal is to find Mr. Right but secondary goals are just as important and they include to have fun/excitement, to learn about myself more and to practice curiosity. The biggest insight for me was Reno's observation that even if you think the world of your date, if he doesn't love you back with close to the same level of interest, it is simply not a Match and you need to let it go. Wish me luck for a first date this Saturday with someone for whom I have very high hopes.

    How do you find friends that are not superficial? it becomes challenging for gay men who who perceive themselves as physically unattractive (short stature, ethnic, average build) because of multiple past rejections. I find that gay men in general won’t even take the first step in getting to know you because you don’t physically look like them. People tend to cluster with other people who look like them physically.

    I definitely developed a porn addiction or compulsive relationship with porn from my first exposure to porn at the age of 7 till i was around 17 before i sort of got it under control. Definitely contributed to intimate issues and fed compulsive sexual behaviour as an adult. I was moving wild, sleeping with everyone men, women, trans - thought i was a pornstar minus the pay lol. I just wish i never got exposed to porn at such a young age, it messed me up in ways i am only now starting to unpack. Spirituality has helped me develop greater self-awareness and look inwards for validation and inner peace. I am celibate now and on a spiritual journey. Loved this podcast thank you.

    The philippines has an ever-increasing "ageism" problem and it doesn't look like it is going to get any better any time.

  • @GayMenGoingDeeper
    @GayMenGoingDeeper3 күн бұрын

    Thank you for highlighting this issue. Ageism is a significant concern in many societies, including the Philippines. Addressing it requires policy changes, education, and societal attitude shifts. Though persistent, efforts by various organizations and communities are ongoing to combat ageism and promote inclusivity. By raising awareness and advocating for older adults' rights and dignity, we can work towards a more age-inclusive society.🙂

    Intimacy is another perk of being pretty. We ugly folks never have to agonize over half the crap you guys do. We don't have mirrors in our bedrooms, worrying about how we look from different angles. We don't obsess over sharing our feelings. We don't have to worry about intimacy, either. It's kinda hard to empathize with this. Poor you, I guess.
