Wow! Eye-opening point your guest makes with the subconscious mind not being able to distinguish between reality and fantasy. I immediately thought of the burgeoning artificial intelligence movement, and this point's ramifications. The notion of the curious observer is also a new phenomenon to me, and that is part of one's trauma healing is so interesting. Breathwork in lieu of being able to connect with one's subconscious is also very enlightening. The point your guest makes about writing things down to see if my reality is congruent with what I've written, also has credence for me, since I have actually done this in my life, with my OCD diagnosis. Accepting existing reality also helps me find forgiveness, since I can forgive the other party for wrongdoing because of how he or she was raised as a child. I learned this indirectly by hearing that one should never assume anything, especially about another person, and what mental baggage they may be dragging along with them. Your guest's discussion of metaphysical body organs and their relationship to how we manifest various conditions is fascinating as well. Your guest's on-the-spot analysis of Matt's somatic semantics exercise was remarkable. I do practice gratitude on an ongoing basis, in different ways, as your guest relates. In sum, I found this episode to be extremely worthwhile, and definitely worth another viewing.

This is sooo interesting, of course our formative years formed core memories and coping mechanisms that define us, it’s just hard to do something about it thirty years later. I’ll definitely try some of those exercise. I can say that for years I wanted Barbie dolls, but I never got them because those are “for girls”, and when I could afford them and buy them by myself, I got a few, but I always hid them, terrified that my parents would find them. Eventually I donated them because I stopped playing with them, and I wanted to make a child happy. But after a while, I decided to buy a couple more but actually have them on my desk for everyone to see so that I could get some kind of closure, and I still have those two, and they’re very special to me. Thanks for inspiring us as you do every week.

Awwww... Thank you for sharing your story! It's incredible how our childhood experiences shape us, even decades later. Your journey with the Barbie dolls is both touching and empowering. It's inspiring to see how you've reclaimed that part of yourself and found closure. Your courage is truly commendable. Wishing you continued strength and growth on your path of self-discovery.🤩💖🌈

Fellows ThankU so much. Resonating with--- kinked hoses ugh infinity-- dogmatic. What a mild word for that-- Oh startled by comments on meditation. Yep I'm one o those. Meditation is a demon festival. I kee 30:59 p my eyes open-- oh loved what you said re need/want. I never know what to n/w I'm gonna stop worrying about it--re the pity well. Hmm: I was a bodyworker. In the training, "taking in the clients' negativity " is referred to. That didn't happen to me, which I attributed to being in Al-anon where we learn we can't save 'em. I could be present with the negativity. I would climb down the pity well guffaw I was a gymnast. But seriously I saw empathy soften the intensity of pain. In massage school we were warned some clients would use us as psychotherapists, and instructed Don't give advice! Loved Scott's voice changed in the meditation. Saw his head flick sideways, like he sensed something

While still respecting to Scott Clover as human, if you a person struggling through trauma, guilt and shame, please don't listen to him and stay away from people like him. He has some good tools like "Permission vs Allowing" and "Joy and Judgment can not exist in the same moment", to me that was great! 34:40 is when the conversation starts falling apart for me and Scott is showing his true colors. (I think even Matt was starting to get annoyed or hesitant, idk) I think Scott's ideas around "wanting and needing creates more want and need, so you need to eliminate those" I find that extremely invalidating. Talk about healing shame! When he said "ego is the stories people tell themselves - and I don't wanna hear that story" that prove to me he is not here to help you, he is here to help himself. Now I think Scott is well intentional and doing his best with very limited tools. Please go to an actual therapist, go to an professional counselor, people like Scott dont need to help you if you wanna get better.

One need not identify oneself as being 'gay', lesbian, bisexual, trans or queer. For in essence one is the Awareness, Pure Consciousness, Spirit, or whatever one chooses to call it, within which all of this (& other) stuff exists, floats around. And the innate nature of this pure space is peace, joy, love.....love that is so sublime, love that does not even necessarily require physical contact in order to have an intimate 'relationship' - a term that has become synonymous with physical contact, particularly in the western civilization.
