GAY MEN'S BROTHERHOOD:
This is a conscious community for gay men to connect with each other on the journey of healing from shame and becoming more authentic and aligned to their truth. We aim to offer inspiration, support, connection, healing, and a safe space to show up just as you are. Our vision for the members is to learn to feel more comfortable showing up vulnerably so deeper intimacy can be established in our community. We dream of a gay community where everyone can feel more connected to one another in more ways than just superficial and we can feel less lonely and have deeper connections to one another.

I don’t have a family structure and never did. I met my dad and his family at 19 and my mom’s family at 22. I didn’t walk away with creating friendships. Chosen families don’t exist either. Never had that.

After each pod cast I write in my journal aspects of your podcast that struck an emotional jolt. Today’s three ponders came from Reno: “ what we appreciate appreciates”, “triggers are our teachers” & “what we focus on expands”

Aw that was so sweet! It’s hard for me because even though I’m in London with my husband, and his sister and her family live here too, my parents, my brother and my nuclear family are an ocean away, so we rarely see each other and I miss them. We used to spend the holidays with my extended family on my dad’s side in Cancun, and it was nice in general. Now everyone knows my husband, everyone is very respectful and some are very welcoming with him and accepting of our marriage, and his family the same with me, we’re very lucky. But the last years the end of the year is mostly about our friends in London, and it’s ok for us, but I do wish sometimes I could be with my family for the end of the year, c’est la vie

I think in this very global era we live in, Chosen Family is definitely important as well as your blood or family of origin, especially if they are far away. I have a special episode coming out about that topic tomorrow featuring some members of my very own chosen family. Stay tuned!

Can yall include some of us xx chromosome. I mean we like guys but don't want romantic squabbling why can't we be considered as people to yall to? I simply ask because its so unfair that you guys have full personhood and us minority woemen are at the bottom. Literally lol. Just a thought 🤷
