I do it on a regular basis, it’s fun, most guys know there’s NSA usually, not much drama. But of course we have to be careful, I have tattoos all over, so I usually don’t show my face, I have to twist and turn to find the perfect angle so that there are no tattoos on it! Great episode

That’s quite the point that Michael makes about nude pix sharers not being able to share emotions with another. I think that says something about the society that we currently live in. And yes, I do believe we have become (more) desensitized to nudity in today’s culture.

On the topic of, “are we too desensitized to nudity”: I’d say yes as it’s difficult to define or represent homosexuality without sexuality. For a music festival in June I wanted to make a non sexualized Pride outfit and I honestly had a hard time coming up with an idea that wasn’t showing skin or outright had a pride flag or gay lingo(which is usually sexual). I did come up with a floral based idea but it really made me question what is left of gay culture when you take out the sexual aspects of it? Is self acceptance and expression really something that’s unique to us and our culture? Is there really a “Gay Culture” or are we just a melting pot of other cultures who happen to have our sexuality in common? I haven’t found any direct answers to these questions yet but I have noticed that anytime something is meant to be seen as queer or gay, nudity and/or sex is usually a core element which will desensitize people in and growing up in the gay community to the nudity of themselves and others.

What great insights! Thanks for sharing. "Gay culture" is something I refer to often on the podcast and I have a lot of thoughts about that term and what it means. Perhaps it deserves its own episode once I come to some more conclusions on it. Thanks again for sharing here and watching our show 🌈

Thank you for the response! I''d love to hear you guys have a discussion about defining gay culture and where it ends and where club and hookup culture begins along with homosexuality's relation with the two. Love your content and looking forward to all your future episodes! @@WellismoCoaching

Do you guys have a Discord server? I don't use FB, I know a lot of people don't, and discord is becoming a huuuge way we communicate. I'd be glad to help set it up, I have lots of experience with it & am a social worker irl.

I have sent NSFW and honestly... the primary reason was to have a person call me hot. I am also a naturist and nudity is not a big deal for me.

I take some bad pictures so sometimes it's hard doing grindr where you have to be able to take a picture in a certain way or something... my ex had his "way" to take selfis and I honestly never take selfies so i always have this selfi thing where it looks like I'm a boomer operating a cellphone for the first time-look to my selfi's!!! I can pick up guys in real life quite easily but it's incredibly difficult for me to connect with people virtually... sometimes, other times it sort of works out.

That's not a bad thing. I prefer in person meetups than chatting and I think many people are not as confident in person. So it's good you can be more natural in person than on an app.
